– Below is a video of The New Day celebrating Kofi Kingston’s victory over Sami Zayn during last night’s episode of SmackDown Live. In the video, the trio also mocked Raw roster for making them look foolish during the main event of this week’s episode of the Red-Branded Show:
It’s worth mentioning here that according to a report, the New Day will be working with the Raw Brand for the remainder of the UK Tour and they are expected to appear on Raw again in near future.
– As noted, the main event of this week’s WWE SmackDown saw AJ Styles become a two-time WWE Champion by defeating Jinder Mahal. Below is post-show video of Styles celebrating the big win:

The November 7th episode of WWE SmackDown was taped in Manchester, England. Here are 5 takeaways from this week’s SmackDown:
Owens & Zayn Are Bitter About Not Being On Team SmackDown
SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon kicked off this week’s episode of SmackDown and stated that he will get his revenge on Kurt Angle for allowing Daniel Bryan’s attack to happen on RAW last week. Shane added that Daniel Bryan will make his return next week. Shane then called New Day down to the ring.
Shane complimented New Day and the four started dancing in the ring. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn came down to the entrance ramp. Owens said that was the stupidest and most painful thing he has ever seen. Zayn said that Shane McMahon is not cool and that he should never dance again.
New Day then poked fun at Zayn’s entrance dance. Zayn stated that he and Owens are men of honor and that is why they didn’t take part in the RAW invasion. Owens said it was a crime that they needed to have qualifying matches to join Team SmackDown. New Day poked fun at Sami’s appearance and Zayn started fake laughing. Zayn said that it is going to be funny when RAW defeats SmackDown at Survivor Series and Shane McMahon is to blame. Shane announced that Zayn will face Kofi Kingston next.
Kingston and Zayn went back and forth before SmackDown went to a commercial break. When SmackDown returned, Kofi Clotheslined Zayn out of the the ring and then bounced off the top rope and flipped onto Sami outside the ring. Back in the ring, Kofi hit the SOS for a two count. Kofi went for the Trouble in Paradise but Zayn countered it into a Blue Thunder Bomb for a two count. Kofi then hit a Crossbody onto Sami Zayn and pinned him for the victory. Owens attacked Kofi after the match, but retreated once Woods and Big E got in the ring.
I’ve said it a few times, but Sami Zayn his terrific as a heel. His ridiculous high-step entrance tonight was hilarious.
There are tons of variables in play for the men’s 5v5 match at Survivor Series and I cannot wait for that match. Kane could show up and attack Braun Strowman and screw things up for Team RAW. Owens and Zayn could get involved and cost Team SmackDown the match. Kurt Angle needs Team RAW to win so that he can remain the RAW GM. He also added his storyline son, Jason Jordan, to the match as the final member of Team RAW. I feel like we in store for a wild finish at Survivor Series and I’m looking forward to it.
Rusev Will Not Be On Team SmackDown At Survivor Series
Rusev faced Randy Orton tonight for an opportunity to become the final member of Team SmackDown. Orton went for an RKO early but Rusev blocked it and beat Orton down as SmackDown went to a commercial break. When SmackDown returned, Rusev was still in control of the match.
Rusev began to get frustrated because he couldn’t put Orton away. The crowd then started to get behind Rusev, so naturally he was hit with an RKO out of nowhere and lost the match.
Rusev cannot catch a break. He now is officially off Team SmackDown for Survivor Series and it doesn’t look like he will have a role at Survivor Series. I can’t figure out why WWE doesn’t build Rusev up at all. In my opinion, Rusev is the perfect midcard Champion. He is solid in the ring and occasionally cuts entertaining promos.
Becky Lynch Embarrassed James Ellsworth
Before their match, James Ellsworth was looking for Carmella backstage. Becky Lynch confronted him about their match tonight. Ellsworth then proceeded to cut a promo bashing women in general and said that he was going to win the match easily tonight. Becky said that those were some ballsy words from Ellsworth, given the fact that he has no balls.
Becky tried to lock Ellsworth in the Dis-Arm-Her right when the bell rang. Ellsworth then spend the next few minutes trying to avoid Becky. Ellsworth then shoved Becky out of the ring and started posing like an idiot in the ring. Becky climbed to the top rope and connected with a Dropkick.
Becky then followed it up with an Atomic Drop and an Exploder Suplex that sent Ellsworth out of the ring. Ellsworth tried to leave but the SmackDown women’s division threw him back in the ring. Ellsworth tried to call for a truce and hugged Becky Lynch. Becky quickly applied the Dis-Arm-Her for the submission victory. Carmella then booted Ellsworth in the face and exited the ring.
Tough night for James “Big Hog” Ellsworth. Not only did he lose to Becky Lynch, he also got his face caved in by Carmella. It is about damn time because Ellsworth has been doing absolutely nothing to help Carmella’s character. I wouldn’t be against not seeing Ellsworth on SmackDown for some time, but Ellsworth and his ridiculous chin will probably show up next Tuesday night. Shane McMahon also informed Natalya that she will be defending her SmackDown Women’s Championship next week against Charlotte.
The Usos cut a promo on Gable and Benjamin before the match. The Usos then attacked them before the SmackDown Tag Team Championship match started. SmackDown then went to a commercial break. When SmackDown returned, The Usos were in control of the match and had Gable isolated in the ring.
Gable was able to tag in Benjamin and he planted Jey Uso with a Spinebuster. Jey Uso was knocked outside the ring and Gable took out his knee with a chop block. Gable then crawled under the ring. Shelton Benjamin stood in the ring and simply let Jey Uso get counted out. Gable and Benjamin won the match via count-out, but The Usos retained their SmackDown Tag Team Championships.
I guess Gable and Benjamin are heels now that simply don’t care about winning the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. The Usos will now go on to face The Bar at Survivor Series. I would have preferred if WWE just held off on this match until after Survivor Series. The finish to this match just didn’t make any sense to me. I guess we will see what happens next week in this feud, but I’m not a fan of Gable and Benjamin just punting away a shot at the titles.
AJ Styles Is Once Again WWE Champion
The crowd was heavily behind AJ Styles during this match. Mahal showed off his strength in the beginning of the match and launched AJ out of the ring as SmackDown went to a commercial break. When SmackDown returned, Jinder Mahal was still in control of the match and had AJ in a Chin Lock. AJ broke free and connected with a Dropkick that knocked Mahal out of the ring.
Jinder tried to get back into the ring but caught a forearm to the face instead. Mahal then tripped up AJ on the ring apron and Styles fell face-first onto the ring apron. AJ tried to leap off the barricade but Mahal caught him and slammed Styles onto the announce table. The action returned to the ring and Mahal stomped on Styles a few times. Jinder slowed the match down once again and applied an Arm Bar. AJ broke free but Mahal immediately slammed him to the mat.
AJ finally fought back and leveled Mahal with a Clothesline. Styles then hit an Ushigoroshi for a two count. Jinder planted AJ face-first into the mat for a two count. AJ locked in the Calf Crusher on Mahal in the middle of the ring. Jinder quickly broke the hold by slamming Styles’ head into the canvas. Styles went for the Calf Crusher again but Mahal quickly grabbed the ropes to break the hold.
Jinder connected with a massive Clothesline and went for the cover but AJ kicked out at two. Mahal charged at AJ but Styles ducked and Mahal tumbled out of the ring. Styles leaped out of the ring and connected with the Phenomenal Forearm. AJ brought Jinder back in the ring and hit the springboard 450 Splash. The Singh Brothers dragged Mahal out of the ring.
Styles then took out both the Singh Brothers and then went for the Phenomenal Forearm but Mahal countered it into the Khallas. Mahal went for the cover but AJ got his foot on the ropes. The entire crowd started chanting “yes!” as the match continued. Jinder perched AJ up on the top rope and went for the Khallas but Styles blocked it and knocked Mahal off the turnbuckle. AJ then connected with the Phenomenal Forearm for the pinfall victory. After the match, Jinder Mahal attacked the Singh Brothers as AJ Styles celebrated with the WWE Championship.
The nightmare is over! Jinder Mahal is no longer WWE Champion thanks to AJ Styles. AJ will now go on to face Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series in a match that doesn’t even need a built at all. Mahal will get his rematch for the title but hopefully not until after Survivor Series. I also sincerely hope that Mahal loses his rematch in quick fashion and he falls back down the card. What a glorious day.
AJ Styles defeated Jinder Mahal to become the new WWE Champion on tonight’s SmackDown from Manchester, England. This was the first time that the WWE Title has changed hands outside of North America.
Styles is now a two-time WWE Champion. Jinder won the title back on May 21st at the WWE Backlash pay-per-view by defeating Randy Orton.
AJ will now face WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at the November 19th Survivor Series pay-per-view.

WWE’s SmackDown Live tapings from Manchester, England just wrapped up and we have a new WWE Champion.
AJ Styles defeated Jinder Mahal in the main event of the show to become to kick off his second WWE Championship reign. This marks the first time in history that the WWE Championship changed hands outside of North America.

Over the weekend, music and fashion mogul Sean “Puffy Daddy” Combs set off a firestorm when he posted a video on Twitter announcing he was changing his name once again to “Brother Love.”
As wrestling fans know, the real Brother Love was the WWE personality portrayed by Bruce Prichard – who, along with Conrad Thompson, hosts the wildly popular podcast, “Something To Wrestle” podcast on MLW Radio.
The news of Diddy’s gimmick infringement got mainstream media coverage, with WWE, CNN, Fox News, People, Reuters and more covering the story.
Even Bruce Prichard himself chimed in, telling TMZ that he’s ready to step in the ring with Puff Daddy and open up a can of whoop-ass. “I would do anything to wrestle with Diddy — anytime, any place,” Prichard told TMZ Sports.
Prichard added, “You stay in your world and I’ll stay in mine, because I don’t wanna have to get you inside of a solid steel cage and open up my own can of whoop-ass on you!”
Puff Daddy posted a follow-up video on Instagram on Tuesday, stating that due to overwhelming media coverage and backlash he received on social media, he’s not changing his name – and “Brother Love” is just one of his alter-egoes.
WWE/WCW legend Rey Mysterio will be making his debut for ICW in 12 days at Fear & Loathing X.
Fear & Loathing is ICW’s biggest event of the year and the inclusion of Mysterio has been a huge boost for the company looking to sell out the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.
Mysterio’s opponent for the event is ICW homegrown talent Kenny Williams, who has been a mainstay on the UK independent scene for the past couple of years. William’s highest profile bout to this point has been on the reboot episode of World of Sport however this match with Mysterio completely eclipses anything he has achieved so far in his career.
ICW recently released a shot promo from William’s where he calls out Rey, he asks why Mysterio has not yet responded to his verbal jabs and the company has begun teasing fans asking “will we hear from the master of the 619 before November 19th?”

Four of PROGRESS’ Women’s division stars will be looking to put themselves in contention for a match against Toni Storm down the line. Alex Windsor, Jinny, Dahlia Black and Candyfloss are all credible title challengers and this could be a contender for show stealer.
Two veterans of the UK scene will be looking to establish themselves in the ATLAS division when Doug Williams takes on Wolfgang. The WWE UK star Wolfgang recently joined the promotion and it is clear that the PROGRESS management have big plans for him going forward.

Legendary WWE superstar Chris Jericho recently announced his plans to host a wrestling themed cruise dubbed the ‘Rock n’ Wrestling Rager at Sea.’
NJPW/ROH stars The Young Bucks were the first performers to be revealed for this unique event and now Jericho himself has unveiled the latest name to be joining him on the cruise from Miami to the Bahamas…
That man is IWGP Junior Heavyweight and former ROH Television Champion ‘The Villain’ Marty Scurll.

Dunne is regarded as one of the hardest working performers in the UK and he isn’t making his way to the WWE full time just yet…

On May 22nd 2017, Manchester Arena was targeted during a terror attack at an Ariana Grande concert. The attack resulted in the death of 23 people, as well as causing injuries to another 500, only 2 months after a previous terror attack in London.
During the terror attack in London, an off duty police officer, Charlie Guenigault jumped into service and assisted those in need. The heroic amateur rugby player was stabbed while protecting another officer, by tackling 1 of the 3 attackers to the ground. Charlie sustained injuries to his leg, head, back and stomach, literally putting his body on the line to protect and serve – even when off duty.
A month afterwards, Charlie Guenigault was surprised by Triple H who presented him with a custom made WWE Championship Title, to honour and respect his pure heroism in the face of an extreme and horrific situation.

A similar gesture was made to the staff of the Manchester Arena, and the local Manchester emergency services, as WWE superstars presented another custom Championship title.
Titus O’Neil, Matt Hardy, Bailey, and Mickie James took part in the presentation on behalf of WWE who are currently taping RAW and SmackDown Live at the Manchester Arena during the UK tour.
Matt Hardy gave the following short statement:
To the staff of the Manchester Arena and the incredible Emergency Services who put their lives before others to help, we thank you. As a token of our respect and gratitude, we present you with this WWE Title, our way of recognising true champions.
Titus O’Neil added:
WWE has a fantastic and longstanding relationship with the Manchester Arena, dating back almost 20 years. As we have done for two decades, as we will tonight and tomorrow night, and as we will into the future… we stand with you, and we stand with Manchester.
RAW General Manager Kurt Angle will be returning to the ring at today’s WWE live event from Birmingham, England. Angle announced the news on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon.
Angle did not announce who he’ll be working with, but it’s unlikely he’ll be in singles competition. With Roman Reigns still out of action and Angle’s recent affiliation with The Shield, expect to see him teaming with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.
We’ll post an update later today and hope to have video footage of Angle’s latest match.
Angle returned to the ring last month at WWE’s Tables, Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view. He’ll be the captain of Team RAW at Survivor Series next weekend on November 19th.

SmackDown Live stars The New Day will be working on the RAW brand for the remainder of the ongoing UK Tour, according to a report at PWInsider.
For those who missed it, New Day made a surprise appearance at the conclusion of Monday’s RAW and interfered in the tag title main event, allowing Cesaro and Sheamus to capture the gold from Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.
The Bar will now face The Usos at Survivor Series in an inter-brand Champions vs. Champions match.
With Roman Reigns expected back on WWE television next week, the stage is set for The Shield vs. New Day at Survivor Series.
Of course, this match occurring depends on Roman Reigns’ health by next week and whether or not he’s medically cleared to return to active competition.
WWE has been testing virtual reality technology for nearly three years. Back in 2015, the company launched two VR experiences using the Samsung Gear VR platform powered by Oculus. During Tuesday’s Web Summit tech conference in Lisbon, Portugal, Triple H said WWE continues to explore the virtual reality content.
“In some ways, it is kind of custom-made for what we do and I think as the technology improves it will get better and better,” Triple H said.
“Everybody wants to be there live and in person and if its Wrestlemania and you can put a headset on, or whatever that device is at the time, and you can actually put yourself on that front row sitting there experiencing it… that’s a whole different point of view,” he added.
While there’s a strong chance that we’ll see more WWE VR content in the future, Triple H added that WWE still needs to understand how to deliver the best fan experience.
– The Bella Twins’ YouTube channel uploaded the latest installment of John Cena’s “Auto Geek” series, in which he shows off what he purchased with his first WWE paycheck – a 1989 Jeep Wrangler:
– Tonight is the debut of two-time WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair’s ESPN “30 For 30” documentary which airs at 10pm EST. Here’s a clip of Flair discussing the documentary and what to expect from the film:
Former WWE Tag Team Champion Edge and Christian recently took to their podcast, E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness, to discuss several professional wrestling topics. The pair discussed the recent releases within WWE, the opportunity the recently released talent now have, which releases surprised them, Lio Rush’s joke about Emma’s release, and so much more. You can check out the highlights here:
Christian on the releases of Emma, Darren Young, and Summer Rae:
“I guess a few talent got released and people are asking what our thoughts are and whether we’d talk about it on the podcast,” said Christian. “I mean, there’s not really much to say. I mean, obviously, you don’t want anybody to lose their job or their career or anything like that, so you just hope for the best for all the people that it has happened to and that they land on their feet and figure something out. If they truly love wrestling, they’ll continue on and make other avenues and we see that’s a very viable option now with all the other promotions and stuff not only in the U.S., but around the world. So we’ll see what happens.”
Christian on the opportunities the recently released talent now have:
“You look at a guy like Drew McIntyre, right? He was released and it actually helped him. It sucked at the time and I’m sure. We talked to him and if you haven’t listened to that podcast, do yourself a favor and go back and listen to it because it was a great conversation. Yeah, but a guy like him, it really helped him and he came back better than he ever has, so in some respects, it’s almost like, ‘hey, we don’t have anything for you – you’re just kind of spinning your wheels and this is a chance for you to go out and better yourself.'”
Edge on releases being an unfortunate part of the business:
“Yeah, it sucks. I get it,” Edge stated. “It’s a business and at some point there’s going to be a fluctuation in the talent roster and things like that. I don’t know the reasons for anyone [being released]. I don’t know if there necessarily needs to be a reason. It’s just the way the business is sometimes.”
Christian being surprised by Emma’s release:
“[Emma] had a pretty good showing I thought, the last month or so, on TV and on the pay-per-view against Asuka and all those sorts of things.” Christian added, “I feel like she’s the type of performer that will go out and become stronger and do some things, so I wouldn’t be shocked to see her back someday.”
Edge on Emma not getting the right opportunities:
“If you watch her history of work and her and Paige at the first NXT Women’s Championship. I mean, she can go. And a lot of times, you don’t get the opportunity to necessarily show it.”
Christian on Lio Rush’s comments regarding Emma’s release:
“I guess he had said something kind of [insensitive]. I guess he meant it to be somewhat cool or funny, saying, ‘this is what happens when you’re truly not ready for Asuka.’ And man, it’s like here’s the thing. Yes, the guy made a mistake. He probably regrets doing what he did. And we talked about it before with social media and stuff like that these days, and it’s another reason we should probably do an episode someday about the changing in technology, but just think before you hit the send button. Do you know what I mean? Read it over a couple of times and be like, ‘what am I send out into the internet?’ because once it’s out there, it’s out there. Use your head. That’s all you have to do. Use some common sense.
“Not only that, he’s someone that hasn’t accomplished nearly what Emma has accomplished. Do you know what I mean? It’s not a smart thing to do. And it’s not just for him, for any aspiring [pro] wrestler that wants to step up and make a name for himself and really go places, use your head before you hit the send button.”
Edge on WWE recruits needing social media training:
“Talent and brains don’t always go hand-in-hand, but I don’t know the kid. But definitely not a good idea because you’re now making a joke about someone’s livelihood.” Edge continued, “I think even WWE has classes now on social media and how to deal with this whole new thing. It’s not necessarily new anymore, but there are ramifications, repercussions, that can happen from what you put out there.”

– RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss is set to go one-on-one with SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Natalya at Survivor Series later this month. WWE recently uploaded a video of “Little Miss Bliss” discussing the match-up, and she vowed to run circles around “The Queen Of Harts”:
– As we’ve previously noted, The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro) defeated The Shield (Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins) to reclaim the RAW Tag Team Titles on RAW last night. They will now be taking on SmackDown Live Tag Team Champs The Usos at Survivor Series for the pay-per-view’s (PPV’s) SmackDown vs. RAW angle. In the following video you can see The Bar celebrating after their big win:
As seen on last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Jason Jordan was announced as the final member of Team RAW for the Traditional 5-on-5 RAW vs. SmackDown Survivor Series match. Dave Meltzer reacted to this on the latest installment of Wrestling Observer Radio, and speculated that the son of Kurt Angle could possibly turn heel at the event and betray his team. There’s still a possibility, however, that Roman Reigns can replace Jordan on the team when he returns on RAW next week.
After The Shield dropped their RAW Tag Team Titles to The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro) last night, The Bar will now be facing off against The Usos at Survivor Series. WWE seems to be setting up a Shield vs. New Day match at Survivor Series, so it’s possible Reigns is used for that as well. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more…
Discussion: How do you think everything with Reigns and Jordan will play out at Survivor Series? Let us know in the comments
