Owens says since a WWE authority figure assaulted him, he’s suing everyone in WWE until SmackDown Live is no more. Shane McMahon’s music hits, but Dolph Ziggler comes out instead dressed as Shane McMahon. Jinder says when he looks at Nakamura’s face he doesn’t see inspiration or motivation, he sees constipation. He puts up another picture of Nakamura and says that’s a piece of him thinking about what to rip off from Michael Jackson next. Jinder puts up another picture an says this is the face is makes when someone yells out “Godzilla!” Jinder says everything he just said, the American people have already thought. Jinder holds up his WWE Title belt before heading backstage.

– Kevin Owens is backstage outlining the changes he wants to make on SmackDown after he takes over. Vince says Owens didn’t fight back because he couldn’t, because Shane was beating his ass. Vince asks Owens how he has any respect for himself when he looks in the mirror, and mocks Owens for wanting to sue instead of fighting back. Vince says Owens thinks he has the upper hand, but as soon as Owens files the lawsuit Vince is going to immediately call Owens’ attorney and say “Kevin Owens, you’re fired!” Vince tells Owens to go ahead and file his lawsuit, because he’s undefeated in court. Vince says the laws of this land are written for people like him, because he’s a billionaire. Vince says by the time the lawsuit gets to court years and years from now, Owens will be bankrupt and Vince won’t. Vince tells Owens to go ahead and file his lawsuit and see what happens. Owens complains to Vince that his son Shane put his hands on him, and Vince says he gets it which is why he suspended Shane. Vince says Owens got what he deserved, and he’s going to reinstate Shane. Vince says there isn’t going to be a lawsuit, there’s going to be a match. That match will be Kevin Owens vs. Shane McMahon in a Hell In A Cell match. Owens says he wants Vince to promise that he won’t get fired for beating a McMahon senseless if provoked. Vince gives Owens his word, and shakes hands with Owens. They exchange some words off-mic, then Owens headbutts Vince. Vince is down and he’s bleeding from the forehead. Owens gets on the mic and says Vince just gave him his word that he can beat a McMahon senseless. Vince gets up and charges at Owens but Owens drops him with a right hand. Owens kicks Vince while he’s down, and a couple referees come out to help. McMahon slowly gets back up to his feet, so Owens superkicks him. Owens throws the refs away and drags McMahon into the middle of the ring. Owens goes up top for a frogsplash, but Joey Mercury comes out and jumps in front of Vince. Joey tells at Owens not to do it. Owens comes flying off the top, Joey moves and Owens hits the frogsplash on Vince. Owens leaves the ring as Mercury and a medic check on Vince. Mick Foley Talks About His Knee Surgery & Having Trouble Walking For Over A Decade

0

WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley posted an update on Facebook after undergoing knee replacement surgery on Monday. Foley joked that not wearing knee pads during the final years of his career was a mistake in hindsight. He wrote:

“Feeling drowsy but optimistic after getting my right knee replaced this morning. Looking back, my decision not to wear kneepads the final few years of my career was probably not a wise one! Following my hip replacement in April, I could give Iron Man a run for his money with all the steel in my body.

Man, it’s not until you’re laid up that you realize how happy you are to have #RAW there for you every Monday night. Not pandering, just expressing an opinion. OK, maybe I am pandering just a little!”

Foley, who also had a hip replacement surgery back in April, revealed that he has not been able to fully straighten out his right knee in over a decade.

“Hey, if you ever have a chance to talk to #WWEHOF Madusa, and she tells you something, believe it! Madusa warned me that this knee replacement was going to be painful, and the rehab to follow even worse. So far, she is right on the money!

But I really needed the surgery. The hip replacement in April has helped tremendously, it was removed so much of the pain I was in the last eight or nine years. But without this knee operation, I was going to continue with that noticeable limp, in case you forgot what The Godfather once told us you limpin’…it ain’t easy! As it turns out, my right knee has not been able to straighten for probably 10 years or more.

As a result, I’ve been placing far too much weight on my left foot, every day for 10 years – and over the course of that time, it has greatly affected our walk… i’m kind of leaving to a domino reactions were other body parts or stressed when compensating for the knee injury. So, although this surgery is a tough one, It was also a very necessary one.”

Bray Wyatt On The Evolution Of His Character, Undertaker’s Influence

12

Bray Wyatt recently spoke to to Scott Fishman of the Miami Herald to promote WWE 2K18 and discussed his WWE television character. Since the Wyatt Family’s main roster debut four years ago, we’ve seen several tweaks to Bray’s character. “I think the thing about keeping your character fresh is when you change as an individual you have to flow with it,” he explained.

Many fans have drawn comparisons between Bray Wyatt and The Undertaker. Wyatt reveals that The Undertaker gave him some advice about the importance of changing with the times to keep a character fresh.

“There are times where fans don’t understand that change is inevitable or that changes are done too fast,” Wyatt said. “They say, ‘We like the way you used to be.’ Or they say, ‘We liked what you did then.’ You can’t stay the same. As you mature as an adult, you find out you have to keep changing in this business. It’s something The Undertaker laid on me.”

As for where he draws inspiration from, Wyatt referenced television shows, movies and added, “inspiration is everywhere.”

“There is this show about a cult with the Monopoly masks. I’ve been studying it. Then there is Robert De Niro, ‘Red State.’ There are so many things I’ve taken from over the years. All over the place. You find inspiration everywhere. The best inspiration is the people you grew up with. Nobody else knows about you than when you were just regular, everyday people. That’s where most of it comes from.”

The Young Bucks Want Hulk Hogan In NJPW

9

The Young Bucks spoke to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated this week to promote Ring of Honor’s upcoming Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view. Topics discussed include Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly in WWE NXT, wanting to wrestle The New Day, their feeling that WWE is ‘going to war’ with them and the Motor City Machine Guns being their greatest rivalry ever.

In talking about next year’s Wrestle Kingdom 12 event from the Tokyo Dome (1/4/18), the Bucks said they want Hulk Hogan to walk them to the ring.

“I’d love to welcome Hulk in,” said Matt. “He’s honestly my favorite wrestler of all time, so working with him in any capacity would be fun.”

Nick added, “I’d love to have him walk us down the aisle at the Tokyo Dome while the three of us play air guitar. That would be a dream come true.”

You can check out the full interview at SI.com.

Of course, Hulk Hogan is no stranger to New Japan Pro Wrestling. Hogan wrestled for New Japan Pro Wrestling from 1980-1985 during the initial rise of Hulkamania. He won the first International Wrestling Grand Prix (IWGP) tournament back in 1983 and defended the WWF Championship in Japan several times before WWF & NJPW’s working relationship fizzled out in 1985. Hogan later returned to New Japan in 1993 after leaving the World Wrestling Federation prior to joining WCW.

Ryback Reveals Who He Wants To Win Roman Reigns vs. John Cena At No Mercy

13

Former WWE Superstar Ryback recently took to his podcast, Conversation With The Big Guy, to talk about a number of professional wrestling topics. “The Big Guy” discussed John Cena and Roman Reigns’ upcoming match at No Mercy, who he wants to win, Enzo Amore’s spending habits, his move to 205 Live, and much more. Check out the highlights below:

Reigns and Cena’s August 28th RAW promo and who he hopes wins the No Mercy match between the pair:

“I didn’t watch RAW or SmackDown. The only thing I watched [on RAW], because I heard a little buzz about it, was the Cena/Reigns promo.” Ryback continued, “I went and watched it after just to see and I thought it was really good. I enjoyed the whole thing. Yeah, no, I just think it was about time they do a promo on things of what people really think or whatnot, so I thought it was entertaining on all accounts and I know they mentioned something, they say they thought Reigns forgot his lines. I didn’t see in there where he forgot his lines. People pause and take their time all the time on different situations and whatnot, but yeah, no, I like Roman Reigns. Roman’s a good dude and I always got along with him really well, so I hope he f–king beats John really quickly for creative purposes.”

Cena not being able to politic his way to a win:

“John’s a creative guy. He [has] been there for a long time. He [has] been through this battle many, many times where he [has] been able to politically control it and, ah, this is one where I don’t know, I don’t know if he will. And it’ll be nice if he can’t.”

Enzo Amore’s spending habits:

“I can just tell you that [being] that early on into his [WWE] career he’s not set by any means.” Ryback added, “I’m all for living life, but you’ve also got to be a little smart with your money.”

Amore’s move to 205 Live:

“He’s on 205 Live and I think that’s a good little boost for that maybe and the hardcore people that tune into the [WWE] Network to watch it. But I guess they could still use him on RAW though. They do that with a lot of the little, small circle of guys on that show, right? Like Neville…”

Enzo’s 205 Live move probably being a punishment:

“By the way, it could be punishment to him, by putting him on that and the fact that it keeps him on the road now for five f–king days a week instead of going four where he gets to go home after RAW, where he now has to go to SmackDown. I’m telling you this right now, and everybody that is up there [in WWE] knows that five day a week f–king sucks. The four-days, it’s doable. Five, you want to shoot your f–king brains out because you’re never home. You’re home a day-and-a-half at most.”

Lana Accidentally Tweets ‘Wardrobe Malfunction’ Photo

9

WWE Superstars Rusev and Lana were overseas last week visiting Rusev’s home country, Bulgaria, to celebrate their anniversary. Lana kept fans apprised to their trip and tweeted several photos of them milking cows and herding sheep.

One of the photos, which has since been deleted, depicted Lana bending bending over while watching Rusev milk a cow. Lana had a “wardrobe malfunction,” with her bikini top failing to cover everything it was intended to.

The caption of the photo read, “Couples that milk cows together stay together. Happy Anniversary @RusevBUL.”

Bobby Roode Names One Of The Biggest Highlights Of His TNA Run

3

WWE Superstar Bobby Roode recently did an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated just after making his main roster debut on SmackDown Live since dropping his NXT Title to Drew McIntyre at NXT Takeover. “The Glorious One” discussed one of the highlights of his run with TNA and how joining NXT brought his passion for the business back. Check out what he had to say here:

Being able to work with two-time WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair in TNA, and Ric Flair and Jay Lethal’s segment:

“That moment with Ric was such a great moment. In that particular moment, I didn’t keep a straight face. I don’t think anyone in that ring kept a straight face. If you thought we did, it was just good editing by the camera crew.”

NXT bringing back his passion for the business:

“NXT brought my passion back. I got the chance to work with all the coaches down at the Performance Center, and I was able to pick Triple H’s brain, too. Also, working with Shawn Michaels was amazing. He’s been very supportive of me, and extremely helpful.”

Big Show spoke to WWE.com about the surgery and had strong praise for Braun Strowman.

“I have to have the hip resurfaced,” he said. “There’s been some traumatic injury done to the hip in the match with Braun Strowman. It’s frustrating as hell to be in the best shape I’ve been in my career, but that match, I kind of put a lot out on the table and I’m paying the price for it now. Going forward, I’m very confident in the medical team that’s doing the surgery … we’re gonna go forward from there and see what my options are.”

He said Strowman possesses power and athletic ability rarely seen from one man.  “He has some of Brock Lesnar’s crazy athleticism, he’s got a lot of John Cena’s crazy power with that powerlifting background. He’s got a lot of my size and weight, which comes into play.”

Show touted the abilities of big men like Andre The Giant, Bam Bam Bigelow and The Undertaker, but called Strowman the next evolution of what the big man of the future is.

Big Show said this upcoming hip surgery will “absolutely” impact the rest of his life and his career, but he has no regrets and understands that this is part of the life he chose as a pro wrestler. He’s had a fantastic career, he’s worked with the top talent the industry had to offer over the past 20 years, he’s wrestled around the world and he’ll

Diamond Dallas Page On Rumours Of Having Heat With The Undertaker

9

One of the most controversial storylines during the WWE Invasion angle was the feud between The Undertaker and Diamond Dallas Page based on a story that DDP was the stalker of Taker’s wife Sara.

However, this feud didn’t last long and at the time it was rumored that Page had real life heat with Undertaker. It was also said that The Dead Man was responsible for their feud to be cut short and DDP’s push to be halted.

Although during his recent interview with The Irish Sun, the WWE Hall Of Famer denied these rumors and claimed that he never had any real heat with the Last Outlaw:

“I never had any real heat with ‘Taker, It wasn’t like we didn’t like each other. But our styles didn’t really mix. I knew Mark from WCW before he was ever ‘Taker. And I always liked him.”

Continuing on the topic, Dallas also revealed that The Former World Champion also recently complimented him for his work with DDP Yoga:

“Today Taker and I are tight, He came up to me after he saw The Resurrection of Jake the Snake and said, ‘Dude, what you’re doing for the business and people, in general, is super special.'”

Apart from this, Diamond Dallas Page also commented on his early days in WWE and more.

Several Top Raw Stars Not Being Advertised For TLC PPV

5

While No Mercy is still 2 weeks away, WWE has already started advertising for the next Raw Exclusive PPV after the upcoming show, TLC.

The company recently also updated the official page for the upcoming show on WWE.com including details of the stars appearing on the PPV, though interestingly several top stars are missing from the list.

The superstars who are notably missing from the advertisement includes the ‘Free Agent’ John Cena, the current Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and most surprisingly, Braun Strowman.

While it’s hard to make out anything of the fact that they are not being advertised for the show at this point, it hasn’t stopped people from speculating what it could mean for the future of these stars and many believe that they may end up not appearing on the PPV at all.

Out of these three, Lesnar is already on a part time schedule and John Cena is also taking more time off than ever so it’s would not be much of a surprise if these two take time off from the company in upcoming time.

However, it would be really shocking if Strowman ends up not being a part of the event as he is a full-time roster member and the company is pushing him as a big star.

Though there is still time before the TLC PPV and WWE can still add them to the show, so we should wait and watch if these Raw superstars actually end up missing the PPV.

Miz & Maryse Announce They Are Having Their First Child (Video)

14

The Miz and Maryse announced that they will be having their first child together tonight on RAW. The Miz promised to be there for their child everyday, unlike RAW GM Kurt Angle who wasn’t there for Jason Jordan.

Maryse announced that they were having a baby and The Miz then pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket. As he was about to start his speech, Enzo Amore interrupted and came down to the ring. The Miz and Enzo then traded insults and it eventually led to a match between the two Superstars.

During the match, Enzo grabbed a microphone and said that The Miz “who’s your daddy?” in reference to the child. Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel then attacked Enzo ringside and The Miz planted Enzo with a Skull Crushing Finale. The Miz then shared a kiss with Maryse in the ring.

You can check out the announcement in the video below.

WWE RAW Recap & Reaction (9/11)

13

RAW started off with a moment of silence for the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

Roman Reigns vs Jason Jordan

Reigns came down to the ring to a chorus of boos from the crowd. Jordan extended his hand before the match but Reigns wasn’t interested in shaking his hand. The ball rang and the two Superstars circled each other. Cena was shown backstage watching the match on a monitor.

Reigns and Jordan locked up in the ring. Jordan then went after Roman’s legs but Reigns got out of the way and laughed at Jordan. Jason locked his arms around Reigns’ midsection but Reigns broke free and delivered a couple of punches to Jordan’s face. Reigns bounced Jordan’s head off the turnbuckle and then brought him to the other side of the ring and slammed his face off the top rope again. Reigns connected with another right hand and then beatdown Jordan in the corner.

Jordan battled out of the corner and connected with a Belly to Belly Suplex. Jordan bounced Roman’s head off the turnbuckle and then punched him in the chest. Jordan then brought Reigns to the other side of the ring and slammed his head off the top rope. Jordan launched Roman into the turnbuckle and charged at him, but Reigns exploded out of the corner and leveled Jordan with a Clothesline.

Reigns brought Jordan back to the corner and clubbed him across the chest 10 times. Reigns hit a big boot to Jordan’s face and Jason fell to the mat. Reigns geared up for the Superman Punch and went for it but Jordan countered it and applied a Crossface in the middle of the ring. Reigns quickly got to the bottom rope to break the hold and then rolled out of the ring as RAW went to a commercial break.

When RAW returned, Reigns was in control of the match in the ring. Jordan connected with a punch but Reigns headbutted Jordan back down to the canvas. Roman slung Jordan into the turnbuckle and he once again crashed to the mat. Jordan slowly got back to his feet and Reigns quickly planted him with a Suplex for a two count.

Roman applied a Chin Lock in the middle of the ring. Jordan broke free but Reigns connected with a Samoan Drop for a two count. Reigns once again applied a Chin Lock. Jordan powered to his feet and slammed Reigns into the turnbuckle to break the hold. Jordan hit another Suplex that sent Roman flying across the ring.

Jordan shoved Reigns into the turnbuckle, bounced off the ropes and hit a Clothesline for a two count. Both Superstars traded punches in the ring. Jordan connected with a Dropkick but Reigns powered out at two. Jordan lifted Reigns onto his shoulders and drove Reigns into the turnbuckle. Reigns went for a Clothesline but Jordan ducked and hit a Belly to Back Suplex for a two count.

Jordan hit a Spear on Roman in the corner and then hit two Northern Lights Suplexes in a row for a two count. Jordan couldn’t believe that Reigns kicked out at two. Jordan locked in the Crossface once again and Reigns was able to grab the bottom rope to break the hold. Roman connected with a flurry of elbows that knocked Jordan to the mat. Jason quickly got up and sprinted at Reigns in the corner. Jordan went for a Spear but Reigns got out of the way and Jordan slammed into the ring post.

Jordan fell to the floor outside the ring and slowly made his way back to his feet. Reigns got out of the ring and hit the Drive By. Reigns then brought back into the ring and connected with a Superman Punch. Roman followed it up by hitting a Spear for the pinfall victory. After the match, Cena was shown backstage with a smirk on his face. Reigns shook Jordan’s hand after the match as Cena looked on from the back.

Cena was then approached for a backstage interview and was asked if he had anything to say about the match he just watched. Cena said that he did, but was going to go to the ring to say it Roman Reigns’ face.

Winner: Roman Reigns

John Cena made his way to the ring as Roman Reigns waited for him. Reigns stared at Cena as he grabbed two microphones and got into the ring. Cena tossed a microphone to Reigns. Cena stated that he was really excited about Reigns had to say. Cena brought up Reigns making fun of him for taking so long to beat Jason Jordan last week. Cena said that Reigns almost got beat by Jordan this week and said Reigns had some explaining to do.

Cena told Reigns to keep it to like one sentence and then say “believe that”. Roman stated that he was having a great match with Jordan and that is something that John never does. Reigns claimed that he has had more great matches in the past two years than Cena has had in his career. Cena stated that the fans cannot blame him for this one because Roman Reigns is burying himself.

Cena said that Reigns feels as if he has already made it and the second that someone feels that way, it is the beginning of the end. Cena said that Reigns is going to learn what real failure is all about. Cena stated that Reigns has failed every week and that is not something “The Guy” does. Cena said that if Reigns really is “The Guy” he will dust himself off and show him something at No Mercy.

Cena stated that No Mercy is going to be a cake walk and then went to exit the ring. Reigns told Cena to bring his “bitch ass” back into the ring. Reigns bragged about ticket sales and the revenue he brings in. Reigns claimed that WWE doesn’t need Cena anymore and that Cena needs WWE because he cannot break into Hollywood. Reigns said that he knows a guy (The Rock) if he needs help. John then got in Reigns’ face and said “at No Mercy, consider me like a drug test homes, you ain’t getting passed me”. Cena then exited the ring and went backstage.

Reaction: I’ve enjoyed this feud a lot so far. Cena has come off better in the promos between the two Superstars in recent weeks. Reigns has had some solid lines, but Cena has been awesome. The rivalry feels personal and Cena pointing out Reigns’ failed drug test tonight surprised the hell out of me. This is a big time match we are getting in two weeks and I simply cannot wait to see it.

Another aspect of this build that I’ve liked is that Jason Jordan has looked good for two weeks in a row. He held his own against Cena last week and took Reigns to the brink tonight. I’d like to see Jordan have something meaningful to do at No Mercy. WWE clearly believes in him, as they concocted this storyline in which he is Kurt Angle’s illegitimate son.

Hopefully now that he has shown that he can hang with two of the biggest stars in the company, he will now start racking up some wins and become something other than a terrific wrestler with little personality. I’d still like to think that WWE has something big planned for Jordan in regards to the Kurt Angle storyline.

Sasha Banks vs Emma

RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss joined commentary for this match. Emma controlled the match early and went for a roll-up but Banks kicked out. Emma went for a kick but Sasha was ready and connected with a kick of her own. Emma responded with a Clothesline and Nia Jax’s music hit. Nia came down to the entrance ramp and stared at Alexa Bliss. Nia approached Alexa Bliss as RAW went to a commercial break.

When RAW returned, Emma was in control of the match and Nia Jax joined Bliss on commentary. Nia said that she was just out here to watch her competition for the Fatal 4-Way match for the RAW Women’s Championship at No Mercy. Sasha went for a roll-up but Emma kicked out at two.

Bliss complained about not having to be pinned to lose her title at No Mercy. Nia said that she loved Alexa, but just doesn’t like her very much right now because she wants the RAW Women’s Championship. Emma beatdown Sasha in the corner and then hit a Splash onto her while Sasha’s head was against the bottom turnbuckle. Emma went for the pinfall but Sasha kicked out at two. Sasha then quickly locked in the Bank Statement for the submission victory.

Winner: Sasha Banks

Universal Champion Brock Lesnar made his way down to the ring with Paul Heyman. Heyman introduced himself as the advocate for the reigning, defending, undisputed Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar. Heyman said that his job this evening is to sell the fans on something that in his opinion has already been sold.

Heyman called Braun Strowman the “most worthy challenger” to the title in ages. Heyman stated that the odds are against Brock Lesnar. Heyman brought up Strowman slamming Lesnar through two announce tables at SummerSlam and then beating the hell out of Lesnar once again the following night on RAW.

Heyman said that Lesnar is facing an individual at No Mercy that his bigger and stronger than him in Braun Strowman. Heyman questioned whether Strowman is “badder” than Lesnar and said that Strowman is going to have to rip the Universal Championship away from Lesnar. Paul Heyman stated that Strowman reminds him of Lesnar back in 2002. Heyman questioned if Strowman was going to be able to “monster-handle” John Cena tonight in their match.

Paul Heyman also questioned if Strowman was ready to cross over from sports entertainment to Suplex City. Heyman said that when Lesnar in UFC they would ask him “fighter, are you ready?”. Heyman then dared Strowman to come down to the ring for a fight.

Braun’s music hit and Strowman stormed down the entrance ramp. Strowman got in the ring punched Lesnar in the face. Braun beatdown Lesnar in the corner and then lifted him onto his shoulders. Lesnar broke free and hit Braun with a German Suplex. Lesnar celebrated in the ring, but didn’t realize that Strowman got right back up. Strowman Chokeslammed Lesnar and then followed it up with a Running Powerslam. Strowman then raised the Universal Championship while placing his boot on Lesnar’s chest as Heyman was in shock beside the ring.

Reaction: Much like the Cena and Reigns match, I cannot wait to watch this Universal Championship match in two weeks. We got a preview of it at SummerSlam and it was awesome. Braun Strowman has become one of, if not my favorite part of RAW every week. Whenever he becomes Universal Champion, I want to see him with that title for a long time. He is a very rare Superstar. He is incredibly tall and massive, but it doesn’t hinder him in the ring at all. He is a freak athlete that is very talented in the ring and has become must-see television in my opinion.

Goldust came down to the ring and Bray Wyatt appeared on the jumbotron. Bray Wyatt said that Goldust was afraid to take off his paint and reveal who he really is. Bray said that Goldust is just like Finn Balor and that Goldust’s paint was protection for him. Wyatt told Goldust to run and blew out his lantern. Wyatt then made his way to the ring.

Bray Wyatt vs Goldust

Goldust connected with a boot to the face and Bray rolled out of the ring. Goldust followed him out there and leveled him with a Clothesline. The action returned to the ring and Wyatt connected with a Clothesline of his own. Bray unloaded a flurry of right hands to Goldust’s face and went for a Senton but Goldust got out of the way.

Goldust knocked Bray out of the ring and then flipped on top of him off the ring apron. Goldust connected with a punches and then rolled Bray back into the ring. Goldust hopped up on the ring apron and Bray met him there and shoved him into the ring post. Bray then hit Goldust with the Sister Abigail for the pinfall victory.

After the match, Bray Wyatt wiped off Goldust’s paint with a towel while shouting “he is just a man like Finn Balor”. Finn then sprinted to the ring and Wyatt retreated.

Winner: Bray Wyatt

Reaction: I find this feud to be incredibly lazy and uninteresting. I think both Bray Wyatt and Finn Balor are very talented Superstars. However, I cannot get myself to care about whether Balor can defeat Bray Wyatt without wearing makeup. It is just not working for me at all. Luckily, No Mercy’s card is stacked, so I’m not going to get too annoyed about one crappy match on the card. The match itself might turn out to be entertaining, but the feud has just sucked and there’s no real reason to care who wins at No Mercy.

Sheamus and Cesaro were interviewed backstage. Sheamus said that they see Gallows and Anderson as more of a threat than Ambrose and Rollins because they actually are a team. Cesaro stated that at their core, Ambrose and Rollins are selfish. Sheamus claimed that Ambrose and Rollins’ instincts will kick in at No Mercy and that they will throw each other to the wolves. Sheamus and Cesaro vowed to recapture the RAW Tag Team Championships at WWE No Mercy.

Ambrose and Rollins joined commentary for a match that was supposed to happen between Sheamus & Cesaro versus Gallows & Anderson. Sheamus and Cesaro got into a brawl before the mach with Ambrose and Rollins on the entrance ramp. Gallows and Anderson joined the fight on the entrance ramp. Security then came down and broke up the brawl and RAW went to a commercial break.

When RAW returned, Ambrose and Rollins were backstage with RAW GM Kurt Angle. Ambrose and Rollins demanded a match against Sheamus, Cesaro, Anderson and Gallows tonight. Angle told Ambrose and Rollins to find two tag partners for an eight man tag match later tonight.

A vignette for Asuka was shown and she will be making her RAW debut soon.

Nia Jax was shown watching the vignette and then Alexa Bliss showed up. Alexa said that Asuka is another woman coming to RAW to try and steal their spotlight. Bliss stated that Kurt Angle doesn’t appreciate the fact that they are best friends. Nia said that they are not best friends. Alexa apologized for slapping her last week and asked if they can go back to being best friends. Nia said that she asked RAW GM Kurt Angle for a match against Alexa and that match will happen next week.

Elias vs Kalisto

Elias performed a song before the match, but was interrupted by Kalisto. Kalisto got in some offense early, but Elias quickly took control. Elias connected with a Powerbomb and then hit Drift Away for the pinfall victory.

Winner: Elias

John Cena vs Braun Strowman

Braun shoved Cena out of the ring to start off the match. Cena got back into the ring with a concerned look on his face. Cena tried to avoid Strowman for a minute but didn’t work out to well as he was Clotheslined to the canvas. Roman Reigns was shown backstage watching the match. Strowman connected with a Splash in the corner of the ring and followed it up with a headbutt that knocked Cena to the mat.

Strowman hit a massive Dropkick and then spent the next few minutes beating down Cena. Strowman connected with a Fallaway Slam and Cena rolled out of the ring as RAW went to a commercial break. When RAW returned, Strowman was still in control of the match. The action spilled outside the ring and Cena slammed Braun into the ring post.

Cena got back into the ring and Strowman joined him. Cena went for the Attitude Adjustment but failed to lift Braun up and Strowman fell on top of him for a two count. Braun charged at Cena in the corner but Cena moved and Strowman crashed into the ring post. Cena hit a Side Suplex and then went for the Five Knuckle Shuffle but Strowman sprung to his feet and hit a Spinebuster for a two count.

Cena was then able to connect with an Attitude Adjustment but Strowman rolled out of the ring after the move and Cena couldn’t go for the pinfall. Cena chased after Strowman outside the ring and Strowman bashed him in the face with the steel steps. Braun then slid the steps into the ring and brought Cena back into the squared circle. Strowman then hit a Running Powerslam to Cena on top of the steps and the referee called for the bell. Strowman then got on top of the steps and raised his hands.

After the match, Reigns was interviewed backstage. Reigns said that the monster didn’t show Cena any mercy and that he will not either.

Winner via DQ: John Cena

Reaction: This match was decent. Strowman looked dominant and destroyed Cena. It makes Cena look vulnerable heading into No Mercy in less than two weeks. It wouldn’t have made sense for Strowman to lose heading into his Universal Championship match at No Mercy. It also wouldn’t have made sense for Cena to lose here, so it is what it is. This is another match I wouldn’t mind seeing somewhere down the line, with a storyline and stakes behind it.

Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins were shown backstage looking for tag partners. They bumped into Dean Malenko and Jamie Noble but they were in suits and Ambrose said they weren’t ready to compete. They then ran into Matt and Jeff Hardy and asked if they were doing anything tonight. Matt and Jeff smiled and it seems like Ambrose and Rollins have found their tag partners for the main-event.

MizTV w/ Enzo Amore

The Miz said that he had a special announcement. Maryse announced that they were having a baby and the crowd cheered. Miz then pledged to be there for their child from day one, unlike RAW GM Kurt Angle. The Miz stated that he had prepared a speech and took out a piece of paper from his pocket. Enzo Amore quickly interrupted and started dancing on the entrance ramp.

Enzo said that he wanted to come down to the ring and celebrate with Miz and Maryse. The Miz immediately started scolding Amore and said that he doesn’t know when to shut his mouth. The Miz said that is why Enzo was kicked out of WWE tour busses and kicked out of the WWE locker room. The Miz said that Enzo was in the Cruiserweight division because there was nowhere else for him to go and that the WWE locker room cannot stand him.

The Miz said that he was once like Enzo, but learned from his mistakes and earned the locker room’s respect. The Miz said that he sees so much talent in Enzo Amore, but sees him make mistake after mistake. The Miz said that he cannot hang with Neville because Neville spends his time improving his skills, rather than spending time with 3rd-rate rappers like Enzo.

The Miz then called Enzo a “con artist with a couple of catchphrases”. Enzo said that he was the realest guy in the room. Enzo said that he has nothing in common with The Miz. Enzo accused Miz of copying people like Jericho and Flair. Enzo said he was original and said that The Miz. Enzo vowed to become the Cruiserweight Champion at No Mercy and then called Miz a paper champion.

The Miz said that if Enzo was championship material, his best friend wouldn’t have abandoned him. Enzo challenged Miz to a fight and Miz said that Enzo has no idea what he is getting into. The Miz said that he was going to dedicate his victory to his unborn child. Enzo then said he will apologize to the baby when it is born and said that Daniel Bryan was right about The Miz. Enzo then called Miz “sawft”.

Enzo Amore vs The Miz

Enzo rolled out of the ring when the match started and grabbed the microphone. Enzo poked fun at The Miz’s wrestling and The Miz promptly leveled Enzo with a Clothesline outside the ring. The Miz grabbed the microphone and asked Enzo “how you doin?” before bouncing his head off the ring apron several times.

The Miz climbed up the turnbuckle with the microphone and went to say something but Enzo jumped at the top rope and Miz fell crotch-first on the top rope. Enzo then grabbed the turnbuckle and said that The Miz should be asking his baby “who’s your daddy?”. Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel then beat the hell out of Enzo ringside and the ref called for the bell. Back in the ring, The Miz hit the Skull Crushing Finale on Amore as the crowd chanted “who’s your daddy?”. The Miz and Maryse then celebrated in the ring as Enzo was lying on the mat.

Winner via DQ: Enzo Amore

Reaction: I pretty much sided with The Miz during this entire segment. I agreed with everything he said about Enzo during MizTV and enjoyed the beatdown he gave Enzo tonight after the match. Enzo Amore is very entertaining on the microphone, but he is not nearly as entertaining in the ring. It would be pretty ridiculous if he defeated Neville for the Cruiserweight Championship at No Mercy, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that happens.

Enzo was shown backstage in pain. Neville showed up beside him and started laughing at him. Neville then walked away.

Sheamus, Cesaro, Gallows & Anderson vs Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins & The Hardy Boyz

A brawl broke out between the two teams before the match started. Jeff Hardy and Cesaro started off the match. Jeff hit an Atomic Drop and then hit a Leg Drop to Cesaro’s midsection. Matt was then tagged in and he continued the beatdown on Cesaro. Cesaro battled back and hit an uppercut and then tagged in Sheamus.

Matt Clotheslined Sheamus out of the ring and then threw Cesaro out of the ring. Jeff was tagged in and hit Poetry in Motion onto Sheamus and Cesaro outside the ring as RAW went to a commercial break. When RAW returned, Gallows and Ambrose were in the ring. Gallows sent Ambrose to the ring apron and booted him in the face. Ambrose fell to the floor as Gallows posed in the ring.

Gallows then brought Ambrose back in the ring and booted him in the face again for a two count. Sheamus and Cesaro took turns beating down Ambrose for a minute. Sheamus applied a Chin Lock but Ambrose quickly got out of it. Sheamus kneed Ambrose in the chest and tagged Gallows back in.

Gallows hit a Splash on Ambrose in the corner and tagged in Anderson. Anderson slammed Ambrose to the mat and applied a Chin Lock. Ambrose fought to his feet but was once again isolated in the corner. Sheamus and Cesaro hit a double headbutt and then Cesaro went for a pinfall but Ambrose kicked out at two.

Cesaro then got Ambrose in a Chin Lock in the middle of the ring. The crowd cheered Dean on as he battled to his feet. Ambrose and Cesaro traded punches but Cesaro got the upper-hand and tagged in Sheamus. Cesaro was then quickly tagged back in as Gallows and Anderson slammed Matt Hardy into the barricade surrounding the ring.

Anderson was tagged in and Ambrose planted him with a swinging Neckbreaker. Gallows was tagged in and prevented Ambrose from tagging out. Ambrose hit the Lunatic Lariat on Gallows. Sheamus tagged himself in and charged at Ambrose in the corner but missed and smashed into the ring post.

Cesaro tagged himself in and Dean launched him out of the ring. Anderson was then tagged in as Ambrose finally tagged in Rollins. Seth hit a Blockbuster on Anderson. Seth hit a Suicide Dive onto Gallows outside the ring and then hit Anderson with a Clothesline off the top rope in the ring. Jeff and Matt Hardy hit Gallows with a Twist of Fate in the ring.

Sheamus and Cesaro then left the ring and left Gallows and Anderson alone in the ring. Ambrose then hit Anderson with Dirty Deeds and Rollins pinned him for the victory.

Winners: Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins & The Hardy Boyz

Reaction: The main-event was pretty clumsy, but the rest of RAW was pretty entertaining tonight in my opinion. Braun Strowman once again looked dominant and Cena once again got the best of Roman Reigns. I’m already looking forward to next week’s episode as it is the go-home show for No Mercy.

Reigns escapes and takes Jordan out to ringside where Reigns hits the drive-by. Back in the ring, Reigns hits the Superman punch and a spear for the win.

Cena tells Reigns that at No Mercy he will be “like a drug test” for Reigns because Reigns wont get past him.

– Sasha Banks is shown backstage heading towards the gorilla position.

Sasha Banks def. Emma: Alexa Bliss is on commentary for this one. After some evenly matched back-and-forth action in the opening moments, Nia Jax quickly comes out to the stage to interrupt. Nia seems to be turning her attention more towards Bliss at the commentary match than on the action in the ring. Nia joins the commentary table while Emma hits a suplex in the ring. Sasha comes back with some knee strikes and a hurricanrana. Emma dodges a strike and hangs up Sasha in a tree of woe in the corner then stomps on her. Emma follows up with a splash in the corner for a two count. Emma gets frustrated, then Banks grabs her and locks her in the Banks Statement for the win via submission.

– Michael Cole introduces a video package highlighting the cage match between Braun Strowman and Big Show last week.

– WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and his advocate Paul Heyman are out to the ring next. Heyman cuts a promo about No Mercy, and his client’s Universal Title defense against Braun Strowman in the pay-per-view’s main event. Heyman recaps the history between Strowman and Lesnar, and says that for the first time since he faced The Undertaker, the odds are against Lesnar going into this match. Heyman says Strowman might be bigger and stronger than Lesnar, but he’s not badder than him. Heyman says why wait until No Mercy because Lesnar is ready, and he challenges Strowman to come down to the ring right now if he’s ready too. Strowman comes down the ramp and storms into the ring. Lesnar ducks a clothesline and goes for a German suplex, but Strowman elbows Lesnar off of him and goes for a running powerslam. Lesnar escapes and hits a German suplex, but Strowman no-sells it and gets right back up. Lesnar looks shocked that Strowman is still standing, and Strowman delivers a chokeslam to the Universal Champion. Strowman follows up with a running powerslam on Lesnar, then Strowman picks up the Universal Title belt and holds it up. Strowman puts his foot on Lesnar as he holds the belt in the air, then Strowman drops the strap and heads backstage. Heyman runs in the ring to check on Lesnar after Strowman leaves.

– Enzo Amore will be a guest on Miz TV tonight.

Bray Wyatt def. Goldust: Before the match, Wyatt comes on the big screen and says he used to think Goldust was different and unique, but now he sees someone who is too afraid to come out from behind the paint. He says Goldust is just like Finn Balor, and they protect themselves from the truth with the paint. Goldust starts off strong with punches and a running big boot on Wyatt. Wyatt falls outside and they brawl around ringside before going back in the ring where Wyatt makes a comeback. Wyatt hits a running senton bomb, then the fight spills out to ringside again. Goldust hits a cannonball splash off the apron onto Wyatt at ringside, then pets Wyatt’s head as he’s on the floor. Back in the ring, Wyatt comes back and hits the Sister Abigail for the win after a short but competitive match. After the match, Wyatt gets a white rag and wipes off some of Goldust’s face paint. Wyatt yells that Goldust is a mortal just like Finn Balor, then Balor runs down for the save and Wyatt. Balor and Wyatt stare each other down as Wyatt slowly backs up the ramp.

– Cesaro and Sheamus do an interview backstage where they say the true test for Ambrose and Rollins will be at No Mercy. Sheamus promises to break their ribs and puncture their lungs, and after they’re beat down that’s when they’ll lose because their instincts are to be self-serving.

Sheamus & Cesaro vs. Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows – No Contest: RAW Tag Team Champs Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose join the broadcast table for this one. Before Sheamus and Cesaro and make it down to the ring, they get into a war of words with Ambrose and Rollins on the ramp and a brawl between the teams breaks out. Gallows and Anderson run up the ramp to join in on the fight, and they all take turns beating on the Tag Champs before turning on each other. Gallows and Anderson are brawling with Sheamus and Cesaro on the ramp, then Ambrose and Rollins recover and get back into the fight. Officials are out trying to separate them and control the melee.

– The announcers say that Kurt Angle has signed the hottest free agents in WWE, and they lead us to a teaser for Asuka’s RAW debut.

– Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss are backstage where Bliss says Asuka is coming to try and steal their thunder. Bliss says RAW should be the Nia and Alexa show, but Nia says they aren’t friends. Nia walks off as Bliss looks concerned.

Cena goes full steam ahead offensively towards Braun, but Braun’s power is too much as he repeatedly strikes Cena down to the mat. Strowman continues to control the pace and then he hits a dropkick on Cena which pops the crowd. Strowman charges at Cena in the corner but Cena gets the boot up in Strowman’s Face. Cena charges at Strowman, but Strowman grabs him and hits a fallaway slam that sends Cena rolling out to ringside. Strowman follows Cena outside and whips Cena into the ring steps. – Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins are backstage looking for tag partners for tonight. They ask two random guys first, and decide against it. The RAW Tag Champs run into Matt and Jeff Hardy next, and the Hardy Boyz seem interested in joining them in the eight man tag match tonight.

Miz says unlike Kurt Angle, he’ll be there for his child from day one. The Miz begins to read a poem about fatherhood, but he’s interrupted by Enzo’s entrance. The Miz points out that Enzo interrupted a deeply personal moment, and Enzo says it’s great news and he wants to celebrate. Miz says Enzo never thinks before he speaks, and that’s why he’s kicked out of WWE tour buses and why he’s kicked out of the WWE locker room. Miz says Enzo didn’t choose to take his personality to 205 Live, but rather he was kicked off RAW. Miz says he started off unliked but he worked hard and earned respect. Miz says Enzo interrupted the most sacred moment of his entire life. Miz says he sees a lot of talent in Enzo but Enzo keeps making mistake after mistake. Miz says over on 205 Live, Neville perfected his craft, while all Enzo cares about is hanging out with third rate rappers. Enzo says he’s an original, while The Miz is just a copy cat of wrestlers before him. Enzo says he’s going to beat Neville for the Cruiserweight Title, and he has no problem coming back to RAW and beating Miz. Enzo says he’ll fight Miz right here and now, which The Miz accepts. Miz says he’ll dedicate his victory tonight to his unborn child. Enzo says Daniel Bryan was right about Miz – he’s s-a-w-f-t.

The Miz def. Enzo Amore: Enzo rolls out to ringside early on and gets back on the mic where he says The Miz’s wrestling is straight-to-DVD quality. The Miz follows Enzo outside and clotheslines him down on the ringside floor. Miz gets on the mic and asks Enzo how he’s doing, then repeatedly slams him into the ring apron. Miz throws Enzo back in the ring, then he gets on the top turnbuckle with the mic. Miz begins to say something to the crowd, but then Enzo knocks him down. Enzo picks up the mic and says Miz shouldn’t be asking how you doin’, he should be asking who’s Mayse’s baby’s daddy. The Miz tackles Enzo and pummels on him, then Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel beat down Enzo at ringside, and Axel hits a running knee to the face of Enzo up against the fan barricade. All eight men brawl all over the ring until it comes down to Jeff and Cesaro and the ref calls for the opening bell. Jeff opens up with an atomic drop and a leg drop, then he starts working on Cesar’s left arm. Matt tags in and they briefly double team Cesro. Gallows throws some punches at Ambrose in the corner, then Cesaro comes in. Cesaro and Sheamus use frequent tags to double team Ambrose a couple times. Gallows and Anderson now take turns working on Ambrose. Sheamus comes in now and knocks Rollins off the apron. Sheamus tags back Cesaro and they hit the double team White Noise. Matt breaks up the pin, so the heels take him outside and throw him into the fan barricade. Anderson comes in and goes for a powerslam, but Ambrose escapes. Anderson escapes a Dirty Deeds attempt, but Ambrose still rolls him up for a two count. Gallows tags in and they go for the Magic Killer on Ambrose, but Ambrose fights out. Sheamus tags in next and misses a spear in the corner. Ambrose almost tags in Rollins, but Cesaro stops him. Cesaro goes for a back suplex, but Ambrose escapes and throws Cesaro to the outside. You just can’t keep a good Nature Boy down.

Just weeks after a life threatening medical emergency, Ric Flair reassured fans “I’m not dead yet, MFers!” and announced earlier this week that he is now being represented by Get Engaged Media.

On Monday, Flair tweeted several photos on the set of an undisclosed new project that had him “back in front of the cameras like he never left” and wearing “a couple pounds of solid gold and diamonds” around his neck.

Flair looks healthy, happy and rested. He promised we’d be seeing him again “very, very soon” and hopefully we’ll get more information on this new project in the coming days.
