Report: Carlito Set To Return To WWE?

24

It looks like former WWE Superstar Carlito could be returning to WWE in the near future, according to former WWE creative team member Court Bauer and Mexican wrestling Konnan, both of whom broke the news on their MLW Radio Show.

WWE has been looking for a Hispanic star to help expand into that market, and Carlito could be the guy they are bringing in to attempt to fit the bill.

Carlito was released from WWE back in 2010 after violating the WWE Wellness Policy and refusing to go to rehab. His last WWE television appearance was at the WWE Hall Of Fame induction ceremony in 2014, where his father Carlos Colon was inducted.

Carlito has stayed busy in recent years, working primarily for his fathers World Wrestling Council (WWC) promotion in Puerto Rico, as well as other independent events.

Roman Reigns Talks Wyatt Family Feud, Facing Brock Lesnar At WrestleMania & More

2

WWE Superstar Roman Reigns recently spoke with The Caller Times to promote this coming Tuesday’s WWE SmackDown television taping in Corpus Christi, Texas. Below are some of the highlights from the interview.

On his feud with The Wyatt Family: “I’m just trying to get out of the swamp. The goal is to take down this Wyatt Army. I don’t think it’s going to end any time soon. If the Wyatts keep adding people, then me and (Dean) Ambrose will continue to break heads.”

On feeling blessed: “You don’t really hear it enough, but I got to thank God for everything. I feel really blessed with the opportunities.”

On facing Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31: “Just the moment alone makes it the best opportunity (and) the best night I’ve ever had.”

Jim Ross Q&A: Would WWE Buy TNA’s Tape Library?, Dudley Boyz/WWE HOF, Iron Sheik

0

WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross recently updated his official blog with his thoughts and opinions on a number of topics. Below are some of the highlights.

On whether or not WWE will buy the TNA tape library if they go out of business: “First, I hope that TNA does NOT go under but if they do I could easily see WWE buying their library for the WWE Network.”

On The Dudley Boyz back in WWE and if they should be inducted: “The Dudley’s are a HOF worthy team who can still go in the ring and can help the younger teams a great deal which is their greatest asset in today’s WWE IMO.”

On “enhancement matches” in today’s WWE: “Enhancement matches still have a place in the biz if used judiciously and in a timely manner.”

On his biggest concern for the industry today: “The development of legitimate, new main even stars with staying power.”

On The Iron Sheik’s tweets: “The Sheik doesn’t do is own tweets. The Magen brothers do it and do an entertaining job.”

WWE Night Of Champions Betting Odds: Updated Lines Suggest Tonight’s Winners

1

There are some unusually long odds in at two different sports books for tonight’s WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view. Usually the long odds, which come in when the late “smart money” comes in, isn’t until approximately an hour or so before the start of the show.

WWE Night Of Champions: Possible Spoiler About Who’s Backstage

4

WWE Night of Champions may see a major return tonight according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider. He’s reporting that Kane is backstage at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, the arena housing tonight’s pay-per-view. Kane has been out of action since the July 13th edition of Monday Night Raw at Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. That was the show where Brock Lesnar dropped the steps on his ankle and Seth Rollins then stomped on it to turn Kane babyface.

During Kane’s last few weeks on TV, they made a point of having Paul Heyman repeatedly refer to him as “The Undertaker’s baby brother.” That seemed like foreshadowing that Kane and The Undertaker would reunite soon, though with Undertaker still programed with Brock Lesnar exclusively, that seems less likely right now.

While he was away, Glenn “Kane” Jacobs was filming the WWE Studios film “6:42,” which is the same movie that Dolph Ziggler was filming during his most recent hiatus. WWE.com describes the plot of the movie as follows:

Ray Fitzpatrick (WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler) is a tough as nails narcotics cop working the beat in Los Angeles. After a drug bust goes wrong, Ray is forced to shoot his own partner, leading to his suspension from the police force. Before you know it, Ray is dragged right back into the thick of it when a mysterious package arrives at the station addressed to him.

The package leads Ray and his colleagues to an encrypted website where an unidentified kidnapper broadcasts a threat to Ray and the entire police force. The kidnapper, it turns out, is holding a young boy hostage and unless the police department can come up with a $2 million ransom, he’ll set off a time-bomb strapped to the child’s chest.

The department, led by Lt. Cronin (WWE Superstar Kane) comes up with the payoff and Ray is tasked as the bagman. When the handover goes down, Ray is forced to shoot and kill the kidnapper before he can set off the bomb and kill the child.

With 6 hours and 42 minutes left before the timed explosive detonates, Ray and Internal Affairs agent Julia Baker (Katharine Isabelle from “See No Evil 2”) race against time to find the now deceased kidnapper’s hidden lair and save the child before it’s too late.

Renee Young Goes On A Rant On Instagram, Lilian Garcia To Sing Anthem At NFL Game

11

– Fed up with some WWE fans on social media, Renee Young posted the following rant on her Instagram account this afternoon.

“So I deleted my last post, due to an insane amount of wild comments, so here’s all I have to say.

“I really wish people could focus on more important things in their own lives rather than stay up way past your bedtimes on a school night and try and tear down other people. It’s exhausting and it’s stupid and it’s so sad.

“I understand that most of these comments come from teenagers that compare high school stories to real life, but grow up. And if you are an adult, you should be ashamed of yourselves for behaving like a maniac because you “think you know who these people are”.

“You make social media a horrible time, and turn into a forum for a roast. TV is not real life. Period.”

So I deleted my last post, due to an insane amount of wild comments, so here’s all I have to say. ??

According to Lilian Garcia’s official website, the WWE Diva will be singing the national anthem next Sunday at MetLife Stadium when the New York Jets play the Philadelphia Eagles. She has sung “The Star-Spangled Banner” for the Jets on ten previous occasions, including the past three seasons.

Photos: TNA Draws Horrendous Attendance Again Despite Giving Away Free Tickets

35

As reported earlier this week, TNA’s first two live events of the year, which were part of the “Road to Bound For Glory” tour, drew just a few hundred fans to each show, and that’s including comped tickets being given out.

The TNA live event on Saturday evening was more of the same.

The event, which took place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, hometown of TNA’s top star Kurt Angle, still drew along the lines of what the shows drew in York, PA. and Morgantown, W.V. earlier this weekend.

As seen below, free tickets were given away by the California University of Pennsylvania Student Center.

Mick Foley Predicts Big Future For NXT Star Apollo Crews

3

WWE Hall Of Famer Mick Foley took to social media recently after watching Apollo Crews (Uhaa Nation) in action on NXT television. Foley wrote the following on Facebook.

“DID I JUST SEE THAT? That’s what I kept asking myself while catching up on ?NXT? last night, and seeing Apollo Crews in action. While the road to stardom to ?WWE? can be paved with roadblocks – both physical and psychological – I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see this man playing a major role on WWE Raw, ??Smackdown? and PPV for years to come.”

Additionally, Foley also responded to fan feedback on Crews in the comments on the post. Below is what Foley added:

“I think the major consensus is this guy is a rising star, and if a few breaks fall in his favor, the sky seems to be the limit for him in WWE. As is usually the case, finding the right opponents, and creating memorable programs – as opposed to having a good series of random matches – is the key to really breaking through in sports entertainment.”

Donald Trump Coverage Continues To Link Him To Pro Wrestling

2

All week, there’s been a noticeable pattern in Donald Trump coverage from mainstream and semi-mainstream media: Linking his theatrics and showmanship on the presidential campaign trail to the theatrics of pro wrestling. As you may remember, Trump has been involved with WWE on and off for over a quarter century, first by paying a site fee to host WrestleMania IV and V and his Atlantic City casino. In 2007, putting his hair against Vince McMahon’s at WrestleMania 23 led to the most bought WrestleMania worldwide in traditional pay-per-view history. Later, he did a brief angle where he bought the Raw brand and finally went into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013.

The latest link comes from TMZ, who talked to Virgil of all people about Trump. They wrote that he said “he met Donald at WWE events in the ’80s and ’90s, and claims the business mogul picked his brain for tips on being a great showman.” TMZ also quoted him directly as saying that “People like the spectacle. People want to see confidence. He is confident just like a wrestler. […] All people want to know is that they can pay the bills and live a good life. They want confidence they can eat.”

Trump got in on it himself after CNN’s Republican debate Thursday, saying that “Vince McMahon would’ve loved it, because that was a WWE kind of a thing, Actually a couple of them came up and they said, ‘you know what Donald—can I hit you so that I can get a little bit more time?’’ Because some of these guys, I felt badly—a lot of them are friends of mine and they got, they got no air time last night.”

Back on Monday, Judd Legum of ThinkProgress tried to figure out Trump’s theatrics by putting them in the context of French philosopher Roland Barthes’ famous essay about pro wrestling. He cited quotes like this one:

It is obvious that at such a pitch, it no longer matters whether the passion is genuine or not. What the public wants is the image of passion, not passion itself. There is no more a problem of truth in wrestling than in the theater.

Given the type of statements and bombast that are getting Trump attention, this probably won’t end any time soon.

Kevin Owens Defends His Feud With John Cena, Says It Was Great For His WWE Career

52

Kevin Owens spoke with Slam Wrestling this week to promote Friday’s WWE live event in Montreal. The former NXT Champion covered a number of topics, including life on the road with WWE, facing Finn Balor in the main event of NXT Takeover: Brooklyn and much more.

Owens made a a huge impact earlier this year when he made his WWE TV debut by destroying John Cena on RAW. The two would go on to have a 3-month blood feud that saw Kevin Owens defeat John Cena clean in their first encounter before losing the next 2 matches to the former United States Champion. Many fans were critical of how the rivalry played out, worried that Owens’ character would be damaged after making such a strong start and then getting ‘demoted’ to the mid-card after working with Cena.

Owens calls the naysayers “delusional” and feels that he showed fans exactly what he’s capable of moving forward. He told Slam Wrestling:

“It definitely helped me working with Cena and anybody who thinks the opposite is delusional. When you worked with him on Raw and on PPV, how this can be bad? Whatever people said about me losing two matches out of three, at the end of the year, fans will remember the quality of the matches and how great these matches were way more than who won and who lost.”

Ric Flair Says He’s Ready To Get Back In The Ring

25

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair recently appeared on WrestleZone Daily and stated once again that he’d love the chance to get back in the ring and he’s ready to go at a moment’s notice. Flair said:

“If I wanted to wrestle I can wrestle. If they wanted me to get slammed off the top rope by Sting next week, I can do it. I’m ready to go.“

The Nature Boy also talked about his longtime rival Sting finally making it to the big time in WWE. Flair called Sting the nicest guy in the world and talks about Sting joining the WWE Hall of Fame when his current run is up.

“I love Sting, he’s a great guy. He’s a wonderful person and a big part of my life. I’m not surprised he’s in the WWE. I encouraged him to go years ago. He deserves it for all his hard work. Let me tell you something, there is not a nicer person in the world than Sting. Steve Borden is the nicest kid in the world. Whatever he is getting he deserves. You know, everybody, kinda like me, you don’t want to make the move, you’re in a good place, making money… but there is nothing like working for the WWE. He wants to have a couple more matches and be in the Hall of Fame, which he deserves. He’s a great kid, a great father and just a wonderful person.”

Homicide Talks About Wanting To Train Talent, What Went Wrong With TNA & More

2

Former ROH Champion Homicide spoke to to John and Chad of The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling this week to give his take on his last Impact Wrestling run and what went wrong with the BDC. He also takes us all on a journey back to his intense rivalry in ROH with Steve Corino as well as the CZW vs. ROH feud which culminated in a huge POP that nearly blew up Ring of Honor. We also find out from Homicide how he aspires to be a trainer of the stars of the future and how he feels that he can offer a lot to WWE NXT from a coaching capacity. Here are the highlights:

Becoming a trainer post retirement and his next run being his last: “I think I would bring back what professional wrestling was supposed to be like. I know it’s sports entertainment and it’s about marketing and I would bring none of the cookie cutter, I would bring realistic out there and people could say I don’t know if this is real or fake. When I trained I trained like the way Fit Finally and Steven Regal wrestled, but I don’t do none of that stuff on TV or on the Independents. But now it’s different as I make my comeback, I’m changing my style. But I would teach them to be aggressive, to have guts and not to quit and just be the best. I’ve got so much knowledge and so many ideas that I could bring. I’ve been telling people on the Independents to look for the hard camera and not just look to the left or the right, there’s a reason why. It’s little things like that and I think I’m good with it and I’m very confident that I could be one of those big time scouts, agents or whatever. I’m going to be one of those guys in the future. First I’m going to have my last run and my comeback and then afterwards I am going to go behind the scenes.”

What went wrong with TNA and how did it change over the time: “The first time I went there it was pretty awesome. The staff, the camera crews and the people who write the books but when Hogan and Eric Bischoff came in everything just changed. I was one of those guys that was like when if you’ve ever seen the old Dave Chappelle sketch “When Keeping it Real Goes Wrong” well I was one of those guys who kept it real but sometimes in professional wrestling, especially corporate wrestling you need to play the games. Meaning sometimes you have to be quiet and sometimes you need to not say things. I would just outburst and didn’t care. I didnt care if I got fired. But when I did get released it felt like freedom and like I was a slave, almost because when Hogan and Eric Bischoff came in it was like everthing was different and a lot of people were scared of losing their jobs. When I got released it was like I got woken up I had people like The Dudley Boyz, Konnan and my teacher Manny Fernandez teaching me about the game about corporate wrestling and how it really is. I look back and say maybe I made a mistake just going out there and I didn’t care. Now, I am getting older and the way the wrestling industry is right now you need to keep you job and you’ve got to be quiet and just have to play along.”

Has he heard from TNA since his last run: “I’ve got respect for TNA. Even though if they are doing bad because I don’t hear anything from them anymore. If they are doing good or bad, I’ve got respect for them because I had a lot of fun with those guys.”

The BDC (The Beat Down Clan) and the calamity that led to the end of the group: “Me and MVP and Low Ki go way back. We love the Wu Tang Clan, the Japanese culture of wrestling even anything Jiu-Jitsu. I made a joke and said we were like the Wu Tang Clan of pro wrestling and that joke became something. Myself, Samoa Joe, MVP and Low Ki just got together with the blue print of it and we knew we were different and we spoke to the management of TNA. Suddenly things were not going well. I got injured, I had a bad shoulder since my Ring of Honor days. Then Samoa Joe had the “guys from Connecticut”. The WWE was looking at him and they gave him a great offer. So, so many things just came out. When things got a little more hectic we had our good friend Kenny King (who I think is the most underrated wrestler right now) and we brought my former LAX partner Hernandez from Lucha Underground coming back to TNA and still things didn’t go very well so we just broke it off. But we feel in spirit that we are the Beat Down Clan inside the locker room of course. But we wanted to make this bigger and so big that we would go to Japan and face The Bullet Club because that is the hottest faction right now in Pro Wrestling.”

A dream feud of The BDC vs. The Bullet Club and who would Homicide love to face: “I love AJ Styles, I faced AJ Styles so many times and actually him with Christopher Daniels had great feuds with LAX. The Young Bucks are guys that are just keeping it real and I love them. But, I would say Tonga, the face paint, I know his brother and I actually trained with him at the Dudleys school in Kissimmee, Florida. He is very talented and I’d like to face him because I think he is the one who is going to break through. After AJ, The Young Bucks and all the guys in the group I think Tonga is the one who is going to break through it all. Homicide also gives extreme detail about his feuds in Ring of Honor, the intense rivalry with Steve Corino, how ROH has changed since he first debuted with the company, heat with Dan Maff, Winning the X-Division title, his love of baseball and how his John Sterling Home Run Call would sound.”

Bayley Puts Over Samoa Joe & Tyler Breeze, Pat Patterson’s Book, Eva Marie

Photos: TNA’s “Road To Bound For Glory” Tour Draws Poor Attendance

21

TNA launched their “Road to Bound For Glory” tour this past weekend to bad attendance numbers.

The Thursday evening show in York, Pennsylvania drew between 350-500 fans, while Friday’s show in Morgantown, West Virginia drew between 250-350 fans. It’s worth noting that several local comp tickets were available for both shows and will again be available for tonight’s event in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Update On TNA’s TV Extension, Another TNA Star Leaves The Company?

5

Regarding Dixie Carter telling Sports Illustrated earlier this week that Impact Wrestling will continue airing on Destination America through the end of 2015, that would indicate some sort of an agreement was made between the two sides.

According to a new PWInsider.com article, however, the original TNA/Discovery deal was said to be for 39 Impact Wrestling episodes, which would wrap them up on October 7th. It appears now that TNA and Discovery have signed some type of an extension that will carry them through February of 2016.

Additionally, F4WOnline.com noted recently that another TNA departure was expected to be revealed this weekend. It appears that it may be Kenny King, as he returned to Ring Of Honor at last night’s pay-per-view to reform The All Night Xpress with Rhett Titus.

King posted the following after last night’s pay-per-view:

CMLL 82nd Anniversary Show Results & Live Coverage

1

Time for live coverage of CMLL’s biggest show of the year, which is streaming live at CMLL.Cleeng.com with no VOD replays.

Esfinge, Fuego ,& The Panther vs. Disturbio, Puma King, &Virus

Virus’s rudo team won by taking the second and third falls. Really good, smooth opener with lots of cool flying and exchanges. As always, Virus is one of the most underrated wrestlers in the world holding everything together. Nice way to start the show since everyone looked good and they didn’t do too much.

Guerrero Maya Jr., Maximo, & Stuka Jr. vs. Dragon Rojo, Polvora, & Rey Escorpion

The rudos (Dragon/Polvora/Escorpion) won the first fall after Stuka Jr. missed a moonsault and Maya got dropped with a second rope Dominator. Technicos took over with a dive train in the second fall, with Stuka hitting a top rope splash while Maya hit a tope. Maximo kissed Escorpion (and made a big show of making it look like he was using tongue) to get a roll-up pin. Third fall went back and forth and they slowed it down a bit to make the finishing stretch more spectacular.  Stuka did what can only be described as a reverse pencil dive over the post while Maya did a somersault tope, but Escorpion dodged a Maximo kiss and hit a package piledriver for the win.

Don’t ask why that’s not a DQ. Sometimes they’ll introduce new moves for heels that aren’t “officially” illegal “martinete” piledrivers.

Two rudo wins in a ow so far.

Dark Angel vs. Princesa Sugehit in Dark Angel’s last match before starting as a WWE coach

This is up now. Being Angel’s last match they’ve probably got something special in mind.

Lots of chain wrestling to start followed by some cools spots where they each tried to feint openings and set traps for each other running the ropes. Slower build than the other matches so far. After some exchanges on the ramp, the first really big spot was Angel crashing and burning on the floor after Sugehit dodged a tope. Angel won a very good one fall match with the Reinera submission (think a torture rack but around her back) for the win. Ceremony was pretty low key but nice.

Dragon Lee, Mistico II, & Valiente vs. Negro Casas, Felino, & Mr. Niebla

This is the super flashy high flying technico team against the veteran rudos, with Casas (who I’m pretty sure hasn’t aged since 1996)  and Felino being brothers. Rudos win the first fall quickly when Niebla put Mistico in La Neblina, the submission hold where he ties you in a knot and poses.

Please don’t ask about Kemonito (the dwarf in the blue monkey costume). He’s impossible to explain quickly.

Technicos won the second fall when Mistico pinned Casas with La Casita (his own move, basically the same as La Magistral) and Lee hit a facebreaker out of a tombstone setup. Yes, hardcore lucha fans or more sick of the rushed first two falls than you are.

Crazy triple dive (Valiente does a moonsault as the other two do somersault dives) hit perfectly by the technico team in the third fall. Their timing on that spot is ridiculous. Speaking of which, Casas’s timing, speed, and reflexes are unreal for a guy in his mid 50s, and he took his trademark bump over the top rope to the floor perfectly. Lee eliminated Casas with a tree of woe double foot stomp and then Mistico submitted Niebla with La Mistica for the win. Really, really good match.

Shocker, Volador Jr., & Ultimo Guerrero vs. Marco Corleone, Rush, & Thunder

Entrances for this on now. Corleone may be familiar t newbies, as he’s the former Mark Jindrak. Thunder is a tall, jacked Australian who the promotion is really high on even though he’s not exactly good. Rush is the one to watch for new viewers, like a younger version of Negro Casas. Yes, he uses Chris Benoit’s old music.

First fall ends with Marco hitting Aire Italia (running dive from the ramp over the top rope into the ring) as Thunder hit a top rope splash. In theory. Thunder was late.

Second fall was fun. Corleon accidentally hit Thunder with Aire Italia, so Guerrero capitalized and hit a delayed suplex on Thunder (legitimately really impressive) while Shocker hit a top rope elbw drop.to take the fall. Volador also hit his plancha off the screen onto Rush, which always looks crazy.

Guerrero is tremendous at carrying Thunder and hit an awesome looking running flying clothesline off the ramp. Thunder is still super green to the point Guerrero had to very obviously jump into his arms for a Randy Orton style quick turning powerslam. Another great flying clothesline by Guerrero, this time diving over the barricade into the crowd.

Finish saw Rush hip toss the referee (Tirantes) and then kick him in the head. Tirantes got up, helped Volador dump Rush out of the ring, and raised Volador hand for a win by DQ. Crowd enjoyed the finish. Rush and Volador seemingly agreed to a hair vs. hair match during the post-match mic work. Good match, crowd was really hot for it, and the intensity was at a level above everything else so far.

CMLL’s Edecanes (ring girls) out to dance in glow in the dark bikinis before the main event.

Atlantis vs. La Sombra (Mask vs. Mask)

Just how much jeopardy  is Atlantis’s legendary mask in?

Entrance of the night goes to La Sombra:

https://twitter.com/davidbix/status/645083358410764288

Atlantis is bumping like he knows this is his last big match. He physically looks great so far. Atlantis wins the first fall by DQ when Rush (Sombra’s second) pulled the referee out of the ring to stop a pin attempt.Volador ran in to fight him, and both were ejected to the back.

Sombra takes the second with schoolboy rollup into a deadlift into a sort of a powerbomb. Alright, time for la tercera caida!

Crowd getting super hot but clearly can tell they haven’t peaked for a finish yet. Awesme spot where Atlantis sends Sombra over the rail and then hit a running tope on the floor from ringside into the crowd. Atlantis hit a gorgeous top rope plancha that they got great camera angles on. GREAT near fall with Sombra countering La Atlantida into his schoolboy powerbomb. They teased Sombra winning with a foul while the ref was bumped, but Atlantis blocked it and hit multiple quebradoras (tilt a whirl backbreakers).Ramping up with bigger moves including a German superplex near fall for Atlantis.

RUSH RUNS OUT TO DISTRACT THE REF WHILE SOMBRA IS IN LA ATLANTIDA. Oh my. Sombra goes for a tombstone, ref stops him, Atlantis gets La Atlantida, drops to his knees, and that’s it! Great  match, great drama with some clever teases, but the crowd didn’t sound like it believed Atlantis’s mask was in as much jeopardy as it was last year.

Time to meet the man behind La Sombra. They showed his family crying in the crowd, and he made a lat ditch effort to escape with Rush as his bodyguard. Eventually he unmasks and puts over Atlantis as a legend.  The ring announcer reveals that La Sombra is Manuel Alfonso Andrade from Gomez Palacio Durango, and 25 year-old with 11 years as a pro. Sounded like they said this was Atlantis’s 29th mask to add to his collection.

Really strong show with a great, emotional main event and post-match. CMLL fund a way to put this up without a paywall so you’ll probably get plenty of chances to see this online if you missed it.This right here is pro wrestling:

Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and Bayley Not In WWE 2K16

36

On Monday, 2K revealed the final members of the WWE 2K16 roster – and there were some glaring omissions. Many fans were outraged that WWE’s “Four Horsewomen” – Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Bayley and Becky Lynch, will not be part of this year’s game. Even more maddening is the fact Divas such as Cameron, Summer Rae and the recently-retired Layla made the cut in lieu of the Divas Revolution leaders.

Back in February, Sasha Banks told a fan on Twitter that she got scanned for the game – adding an extra layer of WTF to the situation.

2K has issued the following statement regarding the omissions  – and then twisted the knife by confirming that the Four Horsewomen will NOT be available as DLC.

With our final roster reveal this past Monday, it was awesome seeing the excitement for The New Day, Enzo and Cass, Mikey Whipwreck, and more. But it was clear that some in the community are frustrated by the lack of the newer Divas added to the main WWE roster recently

We pushed as hard as we could to include Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and Bayley in WWE 2k16, but it simply did not work out for various reasons. While we are not divulging full details on WWE 2K16’s post-launch plans just yet, we can confirm that the Four Horsewomen will not be available as DLC.

We are proud to have and built the largest WWE roster to date featuring the most Divas ever. The WWE 2K16 disc includes all of the Divas on the main roster at the time we locked it in (13 playable in total).

We all agree the Divas Revolution is great for business and look forward to celebrating the Divas even more in future WWE 2K titles.

Jim Ross Blog: Seth Rollins’ Push, WWE Divas Work This Week, ROH PPV

18

WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross recently updated his official blog with his latest thoughts and opinions on a number of subjects. Below are some of the highlights.

On tonight’s ROH PPV: “Good luck to ROH on their PPV tonight in San Antonio that is a traditional PPV also available on iPPV. This group has a stout lineup booked and will not be out performed anyone bell to bell. They often times work a little fast for my tastes but there is never a lack of effort by their talented roster.”

On the WWE Divas work this week: “The WWE women had a solid week of in ring action too and I expect Charlotte vs Nikki Bella to have a really good bout Sunday at WWE NOC. The women who party less and spend more time on perfecting their game will find much more money and success than those that feel compelled to enjoy the night life too often.”

On Seth Rollins: “If Seth Rollins doesn’t become the next “it” guy in WWE it won’t be for a lack of exposure. I’m a Rollins fan because I see some of the great, HBK in him at times. plus I admire Rollins work ethic. WWE is walking a thin line in overexposing Seth, IMO, but thus far he is holding up well but it won’t always be that way if Rollins continues to be all over the TV every week.

For those that think that Rollins is being booked “weak” I couldn’t disagree more. Heels of average size, like Rollins, are naturally vulnerable which isn’t a sign of weakness but a sign of reality. A champion who is beatable but has to cheat to win is money. Always has been and always will be. Gorgeous George, Buddy Rogers, Ric Flair and HBK are just a few of the examples of what I just outlined and please don’t hit back with the “…but times have changed” line.”
