    1

The following are spoiler results for the TNA “Hardcore Justice” pay-per-view. The show was taped on Sunday night in Lowell, Massachusetts.

    TNA Hardcore Justice 2013

    – Ethan Carter III def. Tommy Dreamer in a Tables Match to open the show. This was said to be a great match.

    – BroMans come out without the TNA World Tag-Team Titles. This could indicate that they are scheduled to lose them before this airs. Dewey Barnes and Robbie E. do a dance-off, and a pose-off with Jessie Godderz for the chance to be on Team Angle later on. They make Barnes do ten push-ups but end up beating him up anyways and say they will do the same to the fourth team member of Team Angle, who has yet to be revealed.

    – Bobby Roode def. Samoa Joe via Disqualification. The winner of this match is scheduled to get the advantage in the Team Roode vs. Team Angle match. The DQ happened when the referee was bumped and woke up to see a trash can lid near Joe, which was put there by Roode to make it look like Joe hit him with it. With the win, Team Roode gets the advantage in their match later on.

    – Lei’D Tapa def. Velvet Sky in a Knockouts Street Fight. This was said to be a pretty decent match with a lot of chair shots.

    – Joseph Park & Eric Young def. Daniels & Kazarian in a Full Metal Mayhem match. This was advertised to be Abyss and Young, but Park ended up coming out instead. The finish came when Young pushed Kaz off a ladder and splashed onto him for the pin.

    – Bully Ray def. Mr. Anderson in a Last Man Standing Match. This was advertised to be a Stretcher Match, but Anderson revealed in his pre-match promo that he had the office change it to a Last Man Standing match because he didn’t want Ray getting medical treatment after he kicked his ass. Ray ended up getting the win in a bloody match.

    – Austin Aries def. Chris Sabin in an X-Division Xscape Match to retain the TNA X-Division Championship. This was said to be an awesome match. Aries hit a huge hurricanrana off the top of the cage wall.

    – Team Angle def. Team Roode in the Lethal Lockdown main event of the show. James Storm started the match out for Team Angle, while Jessie Godderz started the match for Team Roode. Robbie E. comes out next for Team Roode. Samoa Joe enters next for Team Angle. Roode enters next for Team Roode. Angle comes out next for Team Angle. Magnus enters next for Team Roode. Abyss is the last man to come out for Team Angle. The finish comes when Abyss chokeslams Robbie E. on a barbed wire board for the win.

CZW Star Says He’s Ready For WWE Talks Working With Ryback, Indy Issues

    2

SESCOOPS.COM reader Phil Johnson sent along the following:

Combat Zone Wrestling Star Blk Jeez recently took some time to take part in an interview with PWMania.com. Blk Jeez spoke on several topics from his time in WWE and TNA, working with Ryback, current issues with Indy Wrestling and more. Here are some highlights from the interview:

You made appearances for both WWE and TNA, what were them experiences like?

I enjoyed my experiences with both companies. Basically, I’m at a point where being on the indies isn’t challenging enough anymore. There isn’t anything for me to accomplish on the indies. My appearances with WWE and TNA just confirmed that I have the talent, experience and maturity to make it on that level. That’s where I want to be and that’s where my talents will ultimately take me.

You had the opportunity to work with Ryback in WWE, what was it like to work in the ring with him?

Good times. Ryback was professional, safe and easy to work with.

What are your thoughts on Indy wrestling today and what could make the Indy scene better?

There aren’t enough generals left on the indies. A high percentage of the indies are full of weak minded individuals that are too scared to speak up for themselves and lack passion. Too many guys don’t take their craft serious enough in my view. Anyone that does speak up gets labelled as “unprofessional” or as a “hot head” which is ridiculous. If more people conducted themselves as businessmen, things would be better.

    – The Real Americans def. Los Matadores and 3MB in an elimination match for a shot at the WWE Tag-Team Championships later on the show.

    – Brie Bella def. Alicia Fox in a Lumberjill match with the X-Factor.

    – The Great Khali def. Curtis Axel with his big chop. Not the greatest match on the show by any means.

    – Goldust & Cody Rhodes def. The Real Americans to retain the WWE Tag-Team Championships. This was apparently one of the best matches of the night.

    – Zack Ryder def. Brodus Clay with his Rough Ryder off the top rope. This was apparently somewhat of a squash match up until the fluke finish.

    – Big Show def. Kane via the KO punch in a steel cage match. Booker T served as the special guest referee for this one.

    – John Cena & Rey Mysterio vs. Randy Orton & Alberto Del Rio in a tag-team match, which served as the main event of the evening. Mysterio hit Del Rio with the 6-1-9, which led right into an Attitude Adjustment from Cena for the 1-2-3.

Rhino Talks About Vince McMahon Interrupting His Match, Breaking Into WWE

    7

Former WWE, TNA & ECW star Rhino joined the Inside The Ropes podcast and spoke about some of the key moments of his WWE run. Here are some highlights of what he said about:

His start in WWE in 2001: “Edge, Christian and I were all buddies and I think they’d (the office) said something like they wanted me to be their brother. Edge was like, “No, you know, people know him as Rhino, they know we’re buddies, so just tag him along with us, use him as our muscle.”

“I remember the first live promo I did and I just shit the bed. I was just so nervous. I didn’t know what they wanted me to say but y’know, I then went on and wrestled on the road for a little bit in dark matches and stuff.

“I wrestled Steve Lombardi and he was actually the one that gave me The Gore as a finish. I used to use it in ECW as a cut off and use the piledriver for the finish. But I used to be really creative, goring people through tables and shit like that. So then I’m working with Lombardi, Brooklyn Brawler, on the house show loop and I hit him with the gore and then I’d pick him up and do a TKO. So the second night he said, “Just hit me with the gore and pin me on that. You pick me up for the TKO and it doesn’t get a reaction.” I remember thinking maybe he just didn’t wanna take it, but he was right. The gore would get a bigger reaction when I’d set up for it in the corner and ya know, the rest is history.”

Vince McMahon coming out and interrupting his August 2003 house show match with Tajiri: “Before the show, he was on the house show loop. So before the match he said something like, “You can’t do anything wrong in the match, just call it out there,” blah blah blah.

“Nassau Coliseum is a tough building. We’re out there and Tajiri won’t call shit and you heard what the boss said. We went out there and before [the match], one of the agents told us if they chant “boring,” don’t do anything, just sit on the hold. So you’re getting mixed instructions, but I’ve worked with Tajiri like 1000 times.

“So we’re in the hold, they chant “boring” and Vince comes out telling us to go home and I’m thinking, “He’s trying to kick us out the ring thinking lets see what they do if I throw a monkey wrench into their match.” I thought he was just working so I’m like, “What are you gonna do? Fire me?” So he tells Brian (Hebner) to tell Tajiri to dropkick me and go to the back and I’m like, “Oh shit, he’s serious.”

“So we go to the back, I go take a shower, then I go talk to him. I think he actually felt bad. He said, “The fans were chanting “boring” and you had him in a hold.” I said to him, “I was told by one of your agents, if they chant “boring,” then sit in the hold.” So yeah, that was it. I actually got a very good payoff for that match. That’s why I think he felt bad about it.”

Jericho & Edge Talk About Cena Squashing Nexus, Edge’s First WWE Title Win

    102

WWE Hall of Famer Edge returned to Chris Jericho’s “Talk Is Jericho” podcast this week for the second part of their interview. During the show, the two revealed some interesting news about the year John Cena squashed Nexus at SummerSlam. The original plans called for the match to come down to Edge and Jericho vs. Nexus, however, John Cena squashed the idea and decided to he would be the last man standing, taking out both Wade Barrett and Justin Gabriel. Cena would later regret the decision.

Chris Jericho: “It was Team WWE vs. Team Nexus, and the finish boiled down to [Edge] and [Jericho] in there, but it was Cena against a couple of them. John wanted to do things a certain way and we told him ‘you’re wrong’. He did it anyways, and it sucked. And then after he came over to us and said ‘I should have listened to you, but I wasn’t seeing it that way.'”

Edge: “I remember. I was like, fine I’m out of the match by that point.”

Chris Jericho: “He wanted to get DDT’d on the floor by Barrett, then kick out and beat them both. And you and I were like, that’s the dumbest thing. That’s just throwing it away for no reason.”

Edge: “They should have gone over because they were so hot.”

Chris Jericho: “We were fighting for Barrett to go over. And where’s Wade Barrett now?”

Edge also spoke out about why he was successful the first time he won the WWE Championship from John Cena, and how Vince McMahon played a big role in that success.

“I had Vince on my side. Vince was the only guy who believed I could break through … The week before New Year’s Revolution I said ‘Vince I got an idea. I’m a heel. I’m probably the most despised guy in the company. If I cash this thing in after I’ve held it for ten months, in a straight-up match, that’s really stupid on my part, as a character. I can cash it in whenever. Why wouldn’t I do it after the Elimination Chamber?” … “I get there and Vince says, ‘prove me right.’ You can see when I hand that briefcase over to him, he says ‘prove me right’. They were only gonna give me three weeks. But in those three weeks I did everything I could to make them change their mind. 25 million hits on WWE.com the night I won the title. Big ratings.”

“PJ Braun Proposes To Celeste Bonin- Pj and his family went to see Celeste wrestle in Connecticut. This is the actual proposal that was recorded by PJ’s dad. Celeste thought he was just recording PJ telling the story of how he almost lost his bag in the airport. In actuality PJ lost the bag WITH THE RING in it. James Storm Interview: TNA “Needs” Jeff Jarrett, His 1-Week Title Reign, Chris Harris

    3

The following are highlights from a recent Newsday interview with TNA wrestler James Storm:

On his short run with the World Heavyweight Title: “I can always say I was the world champion, even if it was for a week. At the end of the day, I don’t want to say I don’t care about it, but my bills are still being paid without the belt . . . when I go to the bank, they don’t ask me if I’m a champion. I still have a lot of years left in me, and the opportunity will come. It’s one of those things that you have to wait your turn.”

On Jeff Jarrett: “To me, Jeff knows wrestling. They need somebody like that either in the production side or the creative side . . . because, let’s face it, he built this company. It was his hard work and his money that he put into it in the very beginning. I think TNA needs Jeff Jarrett, whether it be behind the scenes or in front of the camera or whatever, but they definitely need him—at least for his advice on the wrestling aspect of it.”

On Chris Harris not making it in WWE: “I believe Chris brought it onto himself. I talked to him while he was there. Anytime you go up there, they’re going to test you, to see if you have an attitude or whatever. And I just heard he failed miserably. He had an attitude while he was up there and you can’t do that. You just go up there and you do what they ask of you the best you can, and sooner or later, they’ll find a spot for you and do something with you. Just because he had a good run here, he expected to go up there and have a run, and that’s not so.”

Jim Ross Blog: Brock Lesnar/UFC Rumors, WrestleMania Weekend Plans, More

    2

The following are highlights from the latest online blog by WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross:

On Brock Lesnar to UFC rumors: “Rumor of the week is Brock Lesnar returning to UFC. I find that one a little far fetched. Diverticulitis isn’t something that is to be taken lightly, of this I know what I speak, and returning to the Octagon under those circumstances makes zero sense to me. Brock has a sweet gig in WWE working a handful of dates a year for which I assume is a healthy, 7 figure income. It’s a part time gig of which Brock is very good at and earning that kind of money is a bird’s nest on the ground. Unless an athlete was broke as hell, and Brock isn’t, there is no legit motivation to return to the Octagon and give it one more shot.”

On a UFC fighter he feels could jump to WWE: “On a side note, Josh Barnett would likely make a viable, pro wrestler, of which he has done in the past, when his UFC days are over for some promotion. He’s the kind of guy a company like WWE could sign, polish him up and vignette him all the way to a major main event position for, at worst, a one off, big money match.”

On WrestleMania weekend plans: “Still haven’t finalized our NOLA date during WM30 week as it seems that many people take something like three weeks off for the holidays in the USA. However, we re close on the NOLA deal so if you’re coming to WM30 please keep our show in mind.”

All signs point to the WWE announcement scheduled for January 8th in Las Vegas to be about the debut of the much-talked-about WWE Network.
