Kurt Angle Reveals Nixed Plans For His WWE Return

0

Kurt Angle was supposed to have a program on WWE Television during the WrestleMania season but it was nixed by the officials at the last minute.

There were lots of rumors of what this program was supposed to be. Many even wondered if the Hall Of Famer was supposed to compete at the show of shows.

During the latest episode of The Kurt Angle Show, the Olympic Gold Medallist discussed how a lot of people think that he was being called in for WrestleMania

“There are a lot of rumors going around that I was supposed to be booked for WrestleMania 38, which is not true at all, if you saw the posts, a lot of people thought that I was talking about WrestleMania.”

Revealing the nixed plans, Kurt Angle claimed that he was actually supposed to be involved in a storyline between RK-Bro and The Alpha Academy:

“I was talking about what I was going to do at the Royal Rumble and have the program for a few weeks. Then the blow off would be in Saudi Arabia, where I would referee the match between RK-Bro and Alpha Academy.”

Angle also confirmed that he is not under contract with WWE. He said that it’s unfortunate that his return got nixed but there is nothing you can do about it.

Kenny Omega On How The AEW Video Game Will Compare To WWE 2K22

0

It’s no secret that AEW is developing a video game to end WWE’s dominance in the segment and Kenny Omega is one of the top executives working on the project. The former AEW champion recently had an interview with Wrestling Observer Radio. He first provided some updates on his health and recovery.

Speaking about how their game would fare against the competition, Omega admitted that their product would never be able to compete with WWE’s production:

“We’ll never be able to compete with the production values of WWE’s game. 2K22 is absolutely gorgeous, I’m excited to see all their bells and whistles when it finally releases. For us, rather than pushing the envelope drastically or anything like that, we just want the wrestling to feel how it used to feel for the people” said Kenny Omega, “who would play wrestling games back in the day and just have fun with fellow wrestling fans.”

The AEW star also mentioned how it’s been a while since they have provided an update on the game. He claimed that they are working non-stop, around the clock on it. Omega teased we will hopefully have an update on it soon. He said that he doesn’t want to promise it but suggested that we may get some new details around the time for their next PPV in revolution.

Cody Rhodes Deletes Instagram Story Saying He is ‘Retired’

0

Former AEW EVP Cody Rhodes has deleted an Instagram Story where he teases that he might be retired from pro wrestling.

Rhodes leaving All Elite Wrestling has been the biggest story of the past week; with the shock of a top-level member of the AEW management team deciding not to renew their contract.

Cody Rhodes posted an image on his Instagram of his child and pet dog with the caption “this is what RETIREMENT looks like.”

Although it is likely that Rhodes is just trolling fans, it is certainly not out of the realms of possibility for the former WWE Superstar to be hanging up the boots.

Check out the image via the tweet below:

Cody Rhodes Teases Retirement

It is not currently known what Rhodes’ next step will be. The prevailing thought is that he will be making the move to WWE.

There are a number of backstage personnel in WWE who have been jumping for joy since the news of Cody leaving was revealed.

It was also claimed by Andrew Zarian on the We’re Live Pal podcast that it was WWE who wanted to get the story of Cody leaving before AEW themselves were able to issue an official statement. Which turned out to be successful.

Hopefully, we’ll find out more about Cody’s next career move in the coming weeks ahead of WrestleMania 38 in April.

Becky Lynch Reacts to Upcoming WrestleMania 38 Match

0

WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch took to social media to react to the news that she will be facing Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 38.

Belair won the Women’s Elimination Chamber event during the Premium Live Event on Saturday night and is now the #1 contender to Lynch’s title.

Taking to social media, Lynch would react to the news that she will be facing the former SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Becky pointed out that this will be a match between the only two women to ever win a WrestleMania main event, giving the contest some gravitas beyond the title stipulation.

She wrote: “Congratulations Bianca. The only two women to win the main event of #WrestleMania go head to head in the main event of #WrestleMania. Maybe this time I’ll beat my own record.”

Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair

There was an expectation that Ronda Rousey would be challenging Lynch at the event, but recent reports have claimed that Lynch vs Rousey is being pencilled in for WrestleMania 39 in 2023.

Whoever wins between Lynch and Belair at WrestleMania 38 will be in the history books as the first woman to ever win two WrestleMania main event matches.

As of writing, it is looking like WWE will be putting the RAW title on Belair, avenging her loss back at SummerSlam 2021 against ‘Big Time Becks.’

Riddle Reacts to Working With Brock Lesnar at Elimination Chamber

0

WWE RAW Superstar Riddle finally got his opportunity to face Brock Lesnar for an extended period of time at the Elimination Chamber event this weekend.

Riddle has in the past stated his want to be the man to retire the Beast Incarnate, words that have apparently not exactly gone over well with Brock.

Speaking on the After The Bell podcast back in 2020, Riddle discussed how Lesnar felt ‘disrespected’ by the comments. “I’ll be honest with you. The guy has it all. I think he’s taken my comments as like, literal disrespect” Riddle began.

“I think he really hates me. Which, hey, ok. I get it, I rubbed you the wrong way. I told everybody that I get it, I’ll stay away. So I won’t call people out anymore,” Riddle concluded.

Riddle on Brock Lesnar

Lesnar now appears to be in a place where he is happy to work with the former RAW Tag Team Champion.

Both men were part of the Men’s Elimination Chamber match at the Premium Live Event from Saudi Arabia, which would see Lesnar leave as the WWE Champion.

Taking to social media to react to the contest, Riddle would write “Look at us now! Never Say Never bro.”

It is not known what Riddle will be doing at WrestleMania 38, although a match against his tag team partner Randy Orton appears to be the direction that the company is going in.

Bobby Lashley Out For Months With Shoulder Injury, Needs Surgery

0

Bobby Lashley will need to take time off if one report holds true.

Lashley entered WWE Elimination Chamber as the WWE Champion. He did not leave Saudi Arabia as the titleholder, however, as Brock Lesnar outlasted the opposition.

During the match, WWE ran an injury angle with Lashley. Some speculated it was done to protect Lashley and have him face Lesnar on night one of WrestleMania. It looks like that isn’t the case.

Former WWE writer Kazeem Famuyide revealed on The Ringer Wrestling Show that Bobby Lashley has been legitimately hurt since Royal Rumble.

According to Famuyide, Lashley suffered the injury during his WWE Title match with Brock Lesnar last month. We haven’t seen him wrestle on WWE Raw since then, which should have been a sign something was up.

Lashley will most likely require shoulder surgery, which would keep him out of action for around four months. The timing of the injury is less than ideal since we are on the road to WrestleMania.

There has already been speculation running rampant on how Lashley suffered the shoulder injury. Some are pointing to “The Destroyer” landing awkwardly on his shoulder off a German suplex from Brock Lesnar during their title match back in January.

Keep it locked on SEScoops for updates on Bobby Lashley’s reported injury situation.

Update On Madcap Moss After Scary Bump At WWE Elimination Chamber

0

Madcap Moss took an awkward-looking bump at Elimination Chamber and there is an update on his health.

Moss went one-on-one with Drew McIntyre inside the Jeddah Super Dome in Saudi Arabia. Many expected McIntyre to pick up the win in this one and that’s exactly what he did.

Gnarly Bump

McIntyre’s win isn’t the main takeaway from this match, however. Madcap Moss took a reverse Alabama Slam and landed right on his head.

https://twitter.com/WrestlingNewsCo/status/1495105107360428036

Happy Corbin was at ringside and many have speculated that his reaction was of genuine concern and not acting. Referee Jessika Carr immediately checked on Moss to see if he was alright.

The rough landing had fans nervous but there is good news here. PWInsider is reporting that WWE’s medical staff checked on Moss and he is fine.

Mike Johnson, who wrote the report for PWInsider, suspected that the WWE medical team will take a second look at Moss if they haven’t already. Johnson noted he wasn’t specifically told the team would look at him again for further evaluation.

Hopefully, Moss remains in the clear and will be good to go moving forward. If anything, SEScoops will keep you posted should something else surface on this story.

Big E Admits Reuniting With New Day Caught Him Off Guard

0

Big E didn’t expect to return to The New Day this soon.

When Big E won the Money in the Bank match back in July 2021, some fans were hopeful that a new main eventer would be established in WWE. It’s a spot that many felt was long overdue for Big E.

Big E captured the WWE Championship on the Sept. 13 episode of Monday Night Raw. He held the title for 110 days before losing it to Brock Lesnar at the Day 1 event.

Big E Blindsided By Return To New Day

During a chat with talkSPORT, Big E said he didn’t expect to be moved to SmackDown shortly after his WWE Title reign came to an end.

“My focus has been on controlling what I can. We’ve had several interviews and I’m sure I’ve already talked your ears off about meditation and how much that has helped me.

“But, that’s my job. I focus on being the performer and do the very best with what I’m given, that’s my focus.

“But, I don’t want any of that to be perceived as me taking away from being with Kofi and Woods. That’s my greatest delight. For me, it was a transition I will say I did not expect at this time in my career.

“I had hoped to climb back and try once again to win back the WWE Championship. But, we have a pretty big champion [Roman Reigns] and pretty big title on SmackDown as well so, you never know.”

Reports have surfaced claiming that Big E is no longer seen as a main event talent by WWE officials. It’s a similar situation that happened with Kofi Kingston.

Kingston is also a former WWE Champion but hasn’t sniffed the main event scene since losing the title to Brock Lesnar in a squash match.

Bianca Belair Reveals Advice John Cena Gave Her After SummerSlam

0

Bianca Belair received some advice from John Cena after her 2021 SummerSlam match ended in just 26 seconds.

Belair went one-on-one with Becky Lynch to the surprise of many. Belair was initially set to put the SmackDown Women’s Championship on the line against Sasha Banks. Sasha was forced off the card and Becky served as her replacement.

Becky cheap-shotted Belair, kickstarting her heel run. Becky ended up scoring the pinfall in under 30 seconds.

Advice From A Legend

During an interview with talkSPORT, Bianca Belair detailed the advice John Cena gave her following the short match.

“I really got to talk with John Cena a lot after the 26 seconds moment at SummerSlam. He really just gave me a lot of great advice and keep the right perspective of everything.

“Basically the gist of what he said was ‘moments like this you can really use to propel you. You see how much the fans really get behind you.’ For me, out of that, I was able to look at the longer picture, the bigger picture and hopefully one day it’ll come back full circle, who knows.

“But for me, I took it as you can use this as an opportunity to show who you are without that title. I’m still the EST of WWE and I’m still going to go out there and show out every single time I step in the ring and you really get to see who’s behind you.

“Ironically, I think that moment really propelled me and made me a bigger star.”

Belair recently won the women’s Elimination Chamber match, granting her a shot at the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania. This means Belair will have one last chance to get revenge on “Big Time Becks.”

Spoiler On The Miz’s Mystery Partner For WWE WrestleMania Match

0

WWE is bringing in a celebrity for WrestleMania 38 who will be paired with The Miz. The former WWE Champion lost to Rey Mysterio on the Elimination Chamber Kickoff show thanks to outside inference from Dominik.

Later in the show, while doing a backstage interview, Miz stated that he would bring in a global superstar to be his partner against Rey and Dominik. Pwinsider.com reports Logan Paul is believed to be the person who will team up with The Miz with the match expected to take place at WrestleMania.

Fightful Select confirmed that they heard this pitch was made. It was added that WWE wants to go “all out” to sell out both nights of the show in addition to the expectation that this would be the case for two-night WrestleMania shows that happen moving forward.

Paul made his WWE television debut during the build to WrestleMania 37 where he was ringside for Kevin Owens‘ match against Sami Zayn. Following the bout, Owens laid Paul out with a stunner.

The YouTube star also made an appearance on Monday Night Raw last August. The card for Mania is starting to take shape.

New Details On AEW Video Game Possibly Coming Soon

0

AEW fans have been clamoring for new information regarding an upcoming console game and they might get it soon.

Back in Nov. 2020, it was revealed that AEW handed Yuke’s the keys to develop a console game. Yuke’s used to be the developers of the WWE 2K series before cutting ties with 2K Games.

Fast forward to 2022 and while we’ve had some details and gameplay footage emerge, things are still being kept under wraps with the game. Could we be in for some fresh info and an update on the roster?

More AEW Video Game News Soon?

Kenny Omega appeared on Wrestling Observer Radio and while he didn’t make any promises, he did say that the hope is that something can be shown off as soon as the AEW Revolution PPV, which is set for March 6 (h/t Wrestle Purists).

“I don’t wanna promise at the PPV or in that PPV week but we were hoping to possibly show a little more of where we’re at & little bit more progression, reveal possibly new characters”

Kenny did mention that the goal was for matches in the game to have a fast pace similar to what fans witness on TV every week.

“We want it to feel like how a match would flow but within a video game, so the matches will probably, in general, go a little bit quicker. But we want them to feel like the user is able to assume the role of their favorite AEW Superstar.”

SEScoops will keep you posted when any new info on the AEW console game surfaces.

Kenny Omega Open To Another Match With “New” Version Of Jay White

0

Kenny Omega isn’t opposed to mixing it up with Jay White again, although the circumstances would be far different this time.

On night two of NJPW’s The New Beginning in Sapporo event back in 2018, Omega put the IWGP United States Championship on the line against White. Omega suffered an upset loss after he was hit with the Blade Runner and pinned.

Omega vs. White Again?

At the time of Jay White’s victory over Kenny Omega, fans weren’t entirely sold on “Switchblade.” It wasn’t until Jay began to develop his character more that he was truly embraced as a top player in NJPW.

Speaking to Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer, Omega expressed his belief that the immediate expectations for Jay may have been unfair (h/t Wrestle Purists).

“I really feel that he was sort of unfairly compared to me and or others when he was given this incredible responsibility of being a top guy when maybe it was really soon, too soon.”

Omega went on to say that he is quite impressed with how Jay was able to grow into his role and thinks another matchup with “Switchblade” is an exciting thought.

“He was able to transform his look, his character, his wrestling style to really be something unique and something that fits him. So I would love to have that rematch with Jay (White), but the current version of the new Jay.”

White has been appearing on AEW television the past couple of weeks. He’s fresh off a victory over Trent Beretta on the Feb. 18 episode of Rampage.

Omega has been out of action since losing the AEW World Heavyweight Championship to Hangman Page at Full Gear back in Nov. 2021. Kenny told Meltzer that the targeted February return time frame is likely off the table.

Brock Lesnar Wins WWE Title At Elimination Chamber

0

WWE stacked the deck in storyline against Bobby Lashley when he put his WWE Title on the line against Brock Lesnar, Austin Theory, Riddle, Seth Rollins, and AJ Styles in an Elimination Chamber Match at the themed PPV event on Saturday afternoon (February 19, 2022).

The match was saved as the main event with Theory and Rollins starting it off. Rollins powerbombed Theory through one of the pods. Lashley was in the pod and WWE did an injury angle to get Lashley out of the match.  It was said that Lashley was in concussion protocol. Riddle was the third entrant and then Styles and finally Lesnar. Lesnar eliminated Rollins and Riddle with the F5. Moments later, Styles was given the same fate. Theory and Lesnar were last to remain. Lesnar with an F5 off the top of a pod.

The stars in the match earned their way in by winning qualifying matches on the January 31st edition of Raw. Theory beat Kevin Owens with the ATL while Riddle defeated Otis and tyles defeated Rey Mysterio. Rollins Rollins declared his entry for the Chamber match on the Kevin Owens Show.

As far as Lesnar goes, he was added to the bout during the opening segment of the show when he challenged Lashley to a title match that night, but Lashley declined. Adam Pearce then just announced Lesnar for it.

There had been some speculation about WWE doing a champion vs. champion bout between Lesnar and WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns for their match at WrestleMania 38. That’s exactly what is happening.

Sammy Guevara Suffers Scratched Cornea During AEW Dynamite

0

TNT Champion Sammy Guevara didn’t walk out of his title defense against Darby Allin unscathed.

Guevara and Darby had a highly-praised main event on the Feb. 16 episode of AEW Dynamite. Andrade interfered in the match and nailed Darby with an iPad. Sammy didn’t see what had transpired and hit the challenger with the GTH for the win.

Sammy Guevara’s Eye Injury

Sammy Guevara has taken to his Twitter account to reveal that his cornea got scratched during his battle with Darby.

“Finally able to open my eyes I suffered a scratched cornea on Wednesday. All respect to Darby, We came into this company with everything to prove & in 3 years we have shown that we not only belong but we are this place. Every time I’m on your TV I’ll give you a show, I promise.”

There’s no word on if the scratched cornea will force Sammy out of action for any period of time. At the very least, he’ll likely have to take it easy for the next few days.

After the match, Sammy was attacked by Andrade, who held up the TNT gold and celebrated with Matt Hardy to close out the show.

Fans are now left to wonder what happens next with the TNT Title picture. While Andrade seems to have signaled his desire for the gold, one can’t rule out Darby Allin remaining in the hunt after having his opportunity taken through nefarious means.

Lynch did miss a moonsault, which set up a near fall as Lita hit the twist of fate and moonsault. Lynch with the one-handed slam for the win.

After making her return by working the women’s Royal Rumble match, the following night on Monday Night Raw, Lita appeared in the closing segment as WWE served fans in thinking that Ronda Rousey would challenge Lynch for the strap at WrestleMania. That wasn’t the case as instead, Rousey hit Lynch with a judo thrown.

After Rousey left Lynch laying, Lita’s music hit, and the WWE Hall of Famer came out to the ring while wearing Lynch’s merchandise. She put over Lynch and stated that while Rousey may not be ready to challenge Lynch, she was always up for a challenge so she issued it. Lynch agreed and here we were.

Lynch is slated to defend her title against the winner of the Elimination Chamber match later in the show that features Doudrop, Liv Morgan, Rhea Ripley, Nikki ASH, Bianca Belair, and a mystery star.

Lita had been offered a deal by AEW to come join the promotion, but as the WWE Hall of Famer previously explained, WWE has been her home for 20 years and it didn’t feel right to leave.

What are your thoughts on Lynch retaining the Raw Women’s Title? Was this the right call by WWE officials? Sound off in the comment section.

WWE upped the stakes for the women’s Elimination Chamber match in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from the Jeddah SuperDome as Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Doudrop, and Nikki A.S.H. competed in the bout. The sixth participant, who had been previously unknown for weeks was revealed as Alexa Bliss.

The stipulation of the match was the winner getting the next shot at the Raw Women’s Title. The bout started off with Nikki and Liv. Doudrop entered the match third. Rhea was in fourth. Rhea hit her finisher to Nikki for the first elimination. Bliss earned the fifth entry and last was Belair. Morgan went to the top rope, but Doudrop tossed her into the pod. Morgan eliminated Doudrop with a sunset flip powerbomb. Bliss hit twisted bliss to eliminate Morgan. Belair eliminated Rhea with her finisher.

As a result of the win, she will challenge Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Title at WrestleMania 38 on either April 2 or 3. At the Elimination Chamber, Lynch faced off with Hall Of Famer Lita.

In recent weeks, Morgan and Doudrop had both unsuccessfully challenged for Lynch’s title as  Doudrop got her title shot at the Royal Rumble by defeating Morgan and Belair in a number one contender’s match. In a heel move, Lynch interfered to prevent Belair from winning in that triple threat match.

Roman Reigns Retains WWE Universal Title Over Goldberg At Elimination Chamber

0

In the last match on his current WWE deal, Goldberg challenged WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns for the title at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event.

The match opened the main card. They brawled early until Goldberg caught him with a spear. When he went for the jackhammer, Reigns reversed it with a rock bottom-like move. After hitting the superman punch, Reigns went for the spear, but Goldberg caught him with one of his own. Reigns won with the guillotine choke and Goldberg passed out.

The match was set up during the February 4th edition of SmackDown as Reigns and Paul Heyman celebrated their accomplishments at the Royal Rumble, which was costing Brock Lesnar the WWE Championship.

The WWE Hall Of Famer came out and said that he acknowledged Reigns, but as his next victim. Goldberg told Reigns he wanted the Universal Championship match. That match was confirmed later in the show.

Of course. This match was originally scheduled for WrestleMania 36 back in 2020, but Reigns took time off due to the COVID-19 pandemic so WWE got Braun Strowman to face and beat Goldberg for the Universal title instead

Goldberg challenged for the WWE Championship at the 2021 Royal Rumble pay-per-view but lost to Drew McIntyre before losing to then-WWE Champion Bobby Lashley at the SummerSlam only to win the rematch when he previously competed at Crown Jewel where he beat Lashley.

Reigns will make his next Universal Title defense against Lesnar at WrestleMania 38. As of this writing, Goldberg’s WWE future let alone his WrestleMania status is currently up in the air.

Shane Strickland Says He Lost Motivation Following B-Fab’s Release

Shane Strickland says he lost motivation for his main roster run in WWE following his Hit Row stablemate B-Fab’s release. He made the below comments during an appearance on the Wrestling Classic podcast.

“Truth be told, after Briana [Brandy] got let go, it kind of, for me, I kind of lost the interest anyway. I’m a person that’s 100 percent go or not so they’re not 100 percent behind me, it’s like, okay, I can’t be 100 percent behind this project,” Strickland said on the project.

It was reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there is interest from AEW in bringing Strickland in. He’s also been booked on 2 shows for GCW in April. He made his NJPW recently by answering Jay White’s Open Challenge.

“WWE is gonna WWE,” Strickland continued. “They’re gonna do what they do. They have what they want and they’re happy with what they got. I’m not necessarily happy with what I’m noticing with the product change but they’re happy with it. It’s their money, it’s their product.”

The members of Hit Row will reunite on March 19th on a show for MCW.

Kenny Omega Comments On Cody Rhodes’ Departure From AEW

0

Kenny Omega spoke about Cody Rhodes’ departure from AEW on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio. During the discussion, Omega noted that perhaps Cody’s idea of what AEW would be was different from Tony Khan’s and different from what Omega and the Young Bucks envisioned.

“When this thing (AEW) first started, the most passionate person of our revolution, the most passionate person of creating an ‘us vs. them’ mentality, that was Cody. It was strange for him to just choose to up and walk away,” Omega said. “However, that being said, feelings change. The environment around you is ever-changing.”

Omega continued to say that he thinks Cody had a different vision for AEW than Tony, Omega, and the Young Bucks did.

“Maybe, in the end, we had the Bucks and their vision, my vision, and Cody’s vision. All of our visions are different. I would say mine was more similar to what the Bucks had envisioned and Cody’s was much different,” Omega continued.

Omega also said that he enjoys a good professional relationship with Cody. He’s not a guy he hangs out with on his off time, however. Omega also said that Cody was more prone to wanting to go to war with WWE, while the Young Bucks wanted to just present a different product.

“When Cody had his way of going about things, I wasn’t sure how to follow up with that, nor was I interested. There was Kenny doing his thing, the Bucks doing their thing, and the Codyverse over there, doing whatever it is that he does,” Omega continued.

Omega also mentioned that he heard Cody is on a flight to Saudi Arabia, perhaps to officially join WWE.

“I heard he’s (Cody Rhodes) on a flight to Saudi Arabia, if that makes him happy, that makes him happy. Again, the Bucks and I, we weren’t in this for the war. All the guys and gals in WWE doing their thing, always wishing for the best for those guys,” Omega continued.

Kenny Omega Gives Update On Return From Injury

0

Kenny Omega was a guest on Wrestling Observer Radio recently and gave an update on his various injuries and potential return to the ring. According to Omega, he had originally hoped to be able to return in February. He noted that he ran into trouble booking appointments for treatments, however, and this caused his return to be pushed back.

“I was hoping to be back by February. It’s not looking that way anymore,” Omega said. “That’s not to say there was a huge snag or something that is terribly wrong, it’s not that. It’s just, trying to get appointments and things fixed.”

Omega noted that he is dealing with a hernia as well as knee and neck issues. Some of his training has been impacted as well by not being able to use his legs as much for cardio.

“The training is going well, once I’m able to try to get the knees fixed, get the neck fixed, the hernia, & all that stuff,” he continued. “Hopefully I’m able to move around much better than I was before & I look like a guy who was doing what he was doing 10 years ago.”a

He didn’t provide an updated timeline for his return, however. Omega hasn’t wrestled since dropping the AEW World Championship to Hangman Page at Full Gear back in November.

Rey Fenix suffered an arm injury earlier this year. He was expected to return to action this month but it appears fans will have to wait some more before seeing him back.

Dave Meltzer provided some update on the AEW star in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He claimed that the high-flying star is a month away from returning.

Fenix suffered the injury during the main event of the January 5 episode of Dynamite. The Lucha Brothers defended the AEW tag team championships against Jurassic Express on the show.

Rey Fenix thankfully did not break any bones. His arm was badly dislocated and initially, it was believed that he will be back in the ring by mid-February.

The latest report confirmed that the AEW star’s condition has improved and his arm is out of the sling. Though he is still expected to stay out of action until mid-March.

AAA is currently advertising Fenix & Penta El Zero Miedo vs. Dragon Lee and Dralistico for Saturday’s Rey de Reyes event but it’s likely to be changed into a singles match between Penta and Dralistico.
