Natalya & Hart Family Comment On British Bulldog’s Hall of Fame Induction

0

The British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith was named to the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2020. Unfortunately, the 2020 ceremony was postponed to this year due to the global pandemic. In her Calgary Sun column recently, Natalya posted comments she had received from other members of the Hart family regarding Bulldog’s pending induction.

Diana Hart on the British Bulldog

Diana Hart was married to Smith from 1984 to 2000. They had two kids together, Georgia and Harry.

“From the first time I saw Davey wrestle, back in spring of 1981, when he was only 18, I knew he was incredible,” Diana said to Natalya. “He just got better and stronger in the ring with every match. Davey was really something to behold. Fast forward from 1981 to 2021, I’m absolutely thrilled Davey finally is going to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. He loved his fans, he loved being a part of the WWE Family and he loved his family. He would be so honoured. I am so proud of what Davey accomplished in his career. He will continue to be immortal in this huge but truly hard-earned privilege.”

Davey Boy Smith Jr. On SummerSlam 92

Harry Smith, aka Davey Boy Smith Jr., commented on the importance of his father’s match against Bret Hart at SummerSlam 92.

“SummerSlam `92 was such a special moment in time for my father Davey Boy Smith, uncle Bret Hart, and for WWE fans around the world. More than 80,000 fans packed into Wembley Stadium in England to see what in my opinion was the greatest Intercontinental Title match of all time. As a child being there live to see such a spectacle was amazing. It was one of the matches that made me realize how much I loved wrestling and how much I wanted to do this for my career. Bret and Davey were both so popular in the U.K. as well.”

“It was exciting, hard-hitting, back and forth seesaw action that told a great story. The ending of the match saw a counter off of a sunset flip reversal that was brilliant and never before seen. The arena was so loud that when my dad got the victory, he couldn’t hear himself because the noise of the fans cheering was so powerful. It’s a match I could watch over and over a thousand times and still never get tired of. I’m incredibly proud of them both for that match.”

Bulldog’s daughter Georgia also commented on Bulldog’s pending induction.

“My family and I have been waiting years for this. This is like a missing puzzle piece for my dad’s wrestling legacy. I’m so proud, excited, and the happiest person in the world that my dad, the British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith is a WWE Hall of Famer.”

Updated: Triple H Was Absent From This Week’s WWE Programming

0

Update: In an update to the situation, Dave Meltzer noted the following about Triple H’s absence from TV tapings:

“His situation is being kept secretive but it was said he was quarantining, but not that he has COVID.”

Original: WWE Executive Vice President Triple H was not present backstage at this week’s episode of Raw and he missed this week’s episode of NXT as well according to reports from Wrestling Observer Radio.

Though there is no word yet on why the former world champion was absent from the shows and there is no confirmation on whether or not he will be at Sunday’s Fastlane event.

Triple H was not the only name who missed the Black and Yellow brand’s weekly show and several other names who were expected were not seen on WWE programming this week either.

The company had announced Leon Ruff vs. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, and Imperium’s Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner vs. Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher for the episode but both these matches were nixed.

Ciampa ended up facing Barthel in a one on one match. After the changes, Leon Ruff and Isaiah Scott were not seen on the show at all and Timothy Thatcher also missed the episode.

Both Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae were not present in the arena either but they did appear via a pre-recorded segment from their home where the duo checked in with Austin Theory.

There have been reports of a recent COVID-19 outbreak in NXT though there is no confirmation on if any of these changes were related to the outbreak.

Eric Bischoff Gets Emotional After Learning About His HOF Induction (Video)

0

WWE announced yesterday morning that the former WCW President Eric Bischoff will be one of the inductees for the 2021 class of Hall Of Fame.

The news was broken to the former Raw general manager by Corey Graves during an episode of the after the bell podcast and the wrestling veteran got emotional when he learned about it.

WWE commentator Vic Joseph later shared a clip of it on his Twitter account and you can watch Bischoff’s reaction to the news in the video as seen below:

Eric Bischoff became the Senior Vice President of WCW in 1994 and he remained the top executive of the company until 1999. He has had multiple stints with WWE since then with his most recent run being his tenure as the Executive Director of SmackDown in 2019.

He is the second name to be announced for the 2021 Hall Of Fame class after the company confirmed former women’s champion Molly Holly as the first inductee of this year’s class.

Eric Bischoff and Molly Holly will be joined by the inductees of the 2020 class of Hall Of Fame during the ceremony this year after WWE officials had to halt the ceremony last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The 2020 class will see the likes of Batista, nWo, The Bella Twins, JBL, Jushin “Thunder” Liger and The British Bulldog being inducted in the Hall Of Fame.

Shawn Michaels Regrets Coming Out Of Retirement At WWE Crown Jewel

0

Shawn Michaels stayed true to his promise of retirement for 8 years after he lost a career vs. streak match to the Undertaker at the WrestleMania 26 event in 2010.

However, the WWE Hall Of Famer came out of retirement for one more match in 2018 when he teamed up with Triple H to face the Brothers of Destruction Kane and The Undertaker at the Crown Jewel event.

During a recent interview with New York Post, Michaels opened up about the match and when asked about it, the wrestling veteran admitted having regret over the decision for the first time.

“I do, I had no idea that from Mark’s (Undertaker’s) standpoint he was looking at it as that might be the one he could walk away on. That’s something I think to myself now, oh my goodness, I wish I’d have known that.”

Shawn is referring to the comments made by the Undertaker during his Last Ride documentary where The Phenom had revealed that the bout could have been his last match if things had gone as planned.

Though later in the interview, the former world champion said that the Crown Jewel match was still fun for him and he explained that he is satisfied with his overall career.

RVD Talks Nixed Romantic Storyline With Stephanie McMahon

0

Former WWE star RVD recently had an interview with The Dropkick Podcast where he talked about things such as finding success as a singles star and more.

During the interview, the hardcore star also talked about his early days in WWE and revealed an interesting angle that was planned for him before it was nixed.

According to the former ECW champion, the officials had planned a romantic storyline between RVD and Stephanie McMahon but it had to be nixed because of his girlfriend at the time:

“Something that comes to mind is when I first got there they wanted me to do a bit of a romance angle with Stephanie and myself. And my evil ex was like the most insecure b—h on the planet and I was like thinking, ‘oh my God, this gonna cost me so much grief at home.’

We had a talk, me and Stephanie, and she said, ‘you know, just think of this like you’re an actor’. I was like, ‘that’s cool, except you call me Joe Blow because I’ve been Rob Van Dam for the last ten years’.”

The former TNA star first became famous during his 5-year stint with the original ECW from 1996 to 2001 before the company folded. He was part of the company’s final PPV Guilty as Charged in 2001.

RVD was signed to a short-term WWE deal several months after the folding of ECW. He went on to have a long run with the company after impressing the officials which lasted till 2007.

Keith Addresses Absence From WWE: “One Day I’ll Explain It All”

0

Former NXT champion Keith Lee has issued a short obscure statement addressing the fans on his recent absence from the WWE programming.

The Raw star took on his Twitter to share a message with the fans. He claimed that he hears their chatter and one day, he will explain everything:

“I hear many of you. I see many of the messages. One day, I will explain it all for the ones true to me. For now, know that I more than appreciate the continued support. And WHEN I return, it will be filled with all the love I have for those that represent this #LEEGION”

Keith Lee has been out of action since his match with Matt Riddle during the February 8th episode of Raw. He had been out of the ring several weeks before that as well and his last match before his bout with Riddle was during the January 11th episode of the show.

The former NXT North American champion was announced as a competitor for the triple threat United States Championship match at the Elimination Chamber PPV but he was pulled from the show.

He was replaced by John Morrison in the match also featuring Riddle and Bobby Lashley. At the time, the company had said that Lee was dealing with an injury. There have been no updates on his status since then. This new statement from Keith Lee is only expected to fuel the chatter about his absence further.

WWE Fastlane Betting Odds

0

The betting odds for most of the matches that will take place at the WWE Fastlane pay-per-view event have been released.

The card for the show that takes place this Sunday (March 21, 2021) from St. Petersburg, Florida at the Tropicana Field is close to being finalized as only six matches have been announced with WWE expected to announce a pre-show contest and perhaps more matches on SmackDown.

The only title change expected is the Intercontinental Championship, which would see Apollo Crews be crowned champion.  Roman Reigns is a major favorite to retain the Universal Title over Daniel Bryan while Alexa Bliss is actually the big favorite to beat Randy Orton in a match.

There’s been speculation The Fiend could return at this show to interfere in the bout, which could be why the former WWE Raw Women’s Champion is favored.

The favorites to win are listed as – while the underdogs are listed with +. Odds call for all three titles to change. Here are the final betting odds courtesy of BetOnline:

  • WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns -1000 vs. Daniel Bryan +525
  • WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler -300 vs. Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks +250

Kylie Rae Returning To Wrestling

0

Former AEW and Impact Wrestling wrestler, Kylie Rae, is returning to wrestling. Chicago’s Warrior Wrestling announced recently that Rae will come out of retirement and compete on their June 6th card.

The 28-year-old has dealt with mental health issues the last couple of years that has caused her to take time away from the industry.

In 2019, Rae asked to be released from her contract with All Elite Wrestling. She had competed on the promotion’s first event and was scheduled to perform again at Fyter Fest but didn’t end up doing so. Tony Khan would later say she requested and was granted her release.

In 2020, Rae was scheduled to perform on Impact Wrestling’s Bound For Glory but did not end up doing so as well. It was later revealed that she had suffered a setback with her mental health and would be leaving wrestling. She will be returning, however, at Warrior Wrestling’s event in June.

Shortly after missing Bound For Glory last year, Kylie released a statement on her Patreon:

“I’m truly sorry for the pain I’ve caused and miscommunication, I am currently unwell. I’m also sorry that I wasn’t able to get this out before your monthly subscription charge,” Rae told her subscribers. “I wanted to take this time to say I am no longer a professional wrestler and am currently taking a break from social media. It’s been a very hard decision to make but please understand.. When I am well, I will try to fulfill any obligations that have missed.”

“Crossover celebrities in their prime would love to step into a WrestleMania ring with Roman Reigns. It’s not just Dwayne Johnson. The Rock is just one of many. Top stars in many sports are yearning for the publicity, the notoriety, fame, legacy and money of main eventing WrestleMania with Roman Reigns.”

Roman Reigns himself has commented on the possibility of this match in the past.

“He’s the biggest box-office attraction for the big screen. So, to be able to take that and match it up with the biggest box-office attraction in sports entertainment, I think some magic would be made.”

Danny Burch Reportedly Injured During NXT Main Event

NXT Tag Team Champion Danny Burch was reportedly injured during last night’s episode of NXT. Burch and Oney Lorcan defended their tag titles against Karrion Kross and NXT Champion Finn Balor in the main event of the show.

Danny Burch was removed from the match just past the halfway point. Lorcan and Burch attempted a double suplex on Kross, but Kross reversed the move and it saw Burch take a bad landing on his neck/shoulder.

Jade Cargill Dominated

MJF announced that the group’s name was The Pinnacle and introduced everyone in the faction.

Anderson greeted him with a massive Spinebuster and went for the cover but Jon was able to kick out at two. Gallows sent Kingston into the barricade as Moxley rolled up Anderson for the pinfall victory.

After the match, Good Brothers attacked Jon Moxley and then AEW Champion Kenny Omega’s theme hit. Omega brought a chair into the ring but Kingston attacked him from behind. Good Brothers beat Eddie Kingston down and planted him with the Magic Killer.

Omega and Matt continued to trade words as Moxley slowly made his way up. Omega saw it and retreated out of the ring with Good Brothers to end the segment.

Brian Cage ripped the microphone away from Taz and told Sting that he respected him. Cage added that Sting is still The Icon with or without his bat. Taz flipped out and Cage left them behind to end the segment.

Fenix def. Angelico

Rey Fenix battled Angelico tonight on Dynamite. Angelico controlled the action early and locked in a submission hold in the middle of the ring. When Dynamite returned from a break, Angelico applied another submission but Fenix reached the bottom rope to break up the hold. Rey connected with a Crucifix Bomb and then a Piledriver for the pinfall victory.

Thunder Rosa def. Britt Baker To Close The Show

Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa battled in a Lights Out match in this week’s main event. Baker controlled the action early as Rebel set up a table next to the ring. Britt stomped on Thunder Rosa’s hand against the steel steps as Dynamite went to a commercial break.

When Dynamite returned, AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida was shown watching backstage as Thunder Rosa shrew Baker to the corner. Thunder Rosa Dropkicked a ladder into Baker’s face and then grabbed a table from under the ring. Both Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa were busted open as Rebel was freaking out ringside.

Thunder Rosa bit the cut on Baker’s head and Britt responded with a Superkick. Britt Baker then slammed Thunder Rosa on top of the ladder for a near fall. Thunder Rosa battled back and hit a Death Valley Driver off the middle rope onto the ladder for a two count.

Baker planted Thunder Rosa with a DDT on the steel chair and followed it up with a stomp onto the chair for a two count. Britt Baker poured thumbtacks in the ring as Rebel got into the ring with a crutch. Thunder Rosa hit Rebel with the crutch and sent her through a table ringside.

Thunder Rosa then Powerbombed Baker onto the thumbtacks and went for the cover but Britt kicked out at two. Baker then took Thunder Rosa down and applied the Lockjaw. Thunder Rosa broke the hold by rolling Baker’s back onto the thumbtacks. Baker hit a boot to the face and made her way to the top rope. Thunder Rosa caught her and connected with the Thunder Driver through a table for the pinfall victory.

Opinion: Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker put on an awesome main event to cap off another solid edition of Dynamite. My only real complaint is that I had no idea that Lance Archer was a heel again. I don’t know if he is doing his best Big Show impression with the constant turns but I clearly failed to keep up with his character’s direction. MJF’s new faction is great and it is scary how good he is at 25 years old.

Finn Balor Opens

pjimage 2021 03 17T191949.875

The WWE NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver main event is now official as Finn Balor will defend the NXT Title against Karrion Kross. WWE had Balor come out to the ring for a promo. He listed off everyone he’s beaten and now Kross is waiting for him to do the same.

Balor said at TakeOver, Kross’ time is up. This led to Kross and Scarlett walking down to the ring. Kross said that this whole situation wasn’t going to happen until they settled their separate affairs. He said they need to know who the real champion is in NXT. He said the entire world needs to know it.

Balor said everyone wants to be a champion until the real champion walks into the room. Balor said Kross walks and talks like a champion, but Balor is the champion and Kross doesn’t have what it takes to beat him. Kross promised him at TakeOver that Balor will know what it feels like when he chokes him out.

Balor responded by saying Kross will know what it’s like to be in the main event and choke. Scarlett said she’s already seen this in the cards – two champions draped in gold and the world in awe. Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch came out for a promo and told Balor that he should be facing Pete Dunne.

They said that Dunne can also beat Kross and in time, Pete Dunne will become champion. This led to Scarlett throwing out the idea of Burch and Lorcan defending the tag team titles against Kross and Balor.  They agreed to it for later in the show.

The main event saw Balor get pinned after Balor accidentally kicked Lorcan into Scarlett. Kross attacked Balor, which led to the finish. After the match, Kross laid out Balor with a choke then a forearm shot to the back of the head.

Singles Match

The Way’s storyline with Dexter Lumis continued on this show as NXT North American Champion Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell & Austin Theory have been clashing with the mysterious figure.

Lumis vs. Theory was booked in a singles match. Lumis dominated early while Theory got some spots near the finish. However, it was Lumis who locked in his sleeper hold for the win.

Theory’s been through a lot on TV including having to go to therapy for having stockholm syndrome Theory was showing after being abducted by Lumis at TakeOver: Vengeance Day last month as he walked with the group to the ring, which featured Gargano retaining his North American Championship against Kushida.

Adam Cole Reacts

kyle cole

Adam Cole came out to the ring to give his reaction to the return of Kyle O’Reilly last week during his NXT Title match with Finn Balor.

Cole said that deep down Kyle knows that he is jealous of him and won’t ever be as successful as him. He congratulated Kyle for writing his own death warrant. He won’t leave until Kyle shows up and he finishes it. William Regal came out and said Kyle wasn’t medically cleared last week.

Now, Kyle is out of action for longer due to the damage he suffered. He informed Cole that he has banned Kyle from the CWC. Kyle appeared on the big screen and said that they will settle their differences soon enough. Kyle said that he can’t wait and won’t rest until he gets him. Kyle said that he knows everything about Cole and is willing to do anything to take care of Cole.

Cole said that Kyle can’t hurt him unless he finds him first. Later in the show, we see both Cole and Kyle being arrested after a car incident.

Breezango vs. Legado del Fantasma

tag team

Breezango vs. Legado del Fantasma took place in a tag team match. The match was solid with the heels going over.

There was an angle shot two weeks ago where Mendoza and Wilde attacked Breezango as they were making their entrance for a match against Ever-Rise.

Fast forward to last week, Fandango and Tyler Breeze got their payback by attacking Mendoza and Wilde after Mendoza and Wilde defeated The Grizzled Young Veterans. The finish of that match saw MSK distract The Grizzled Young Veterans. The babyfaces celebrated after taking out The Grizzled Young Veterans and Mendoza and Wilde.

Following the match, Santos Escobar questioned where Jordan Devlin was.

Jordan Devlin’s Appearance

devlin santos

Devlin appeared right after Escobar questioned his appearance. Devlin stated he didn’t need stooges to protect him. Santos got into the ring. Devlin told Santos to put his replica in the trash because the real champion was back. Santos said he has redefined what it means to be a cruiserweight and made history as champion. Santos challenged him to a champion vs. champion match at TakeOver. Eventually, Devlin headbutted him then hit an angle slam to end the segment.

WWE has announced that Devlin will defend his NXT Cruiserweight Championship against Seven on this Thursday’s episode of NXT UK.

Devlin announced last week that he was flying to the United States to appear on this week’s episode and mentioned next month’s two-night NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver event where said it would be a shame if the biggest TakeOver in history didn’t have the real NXT Cruiserweight Champion on the card.

Both Devlin and Escobar are both considered NXT Cruiserweight Champions by WWE. The reason for this is due to Devlin not being able to travel and defend the title due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, a tournament to crown an interim champion was booked last year. WWE later dropped the interim branding for the tournament. Thus, when Escobar beat Drake Maverick in the tournament finals, he was crowned the NXT Cruiserweight Champion.

LA Knight’s Debut Match

LA Knight NXT

LA Knight made his NXT in-ring debut against August Grey. It was a complete squash match. During it, Bronson Reed came out and put on Knight’s jacket, but ripped it while putting it on. It almost cost Knight the match, but he quickly recovered and hit his finisher for the win.

Last week in a backstage segment, Knight, formerly known as Eli Drake, announced his in-ring debut would take place. His interview was interrupted when he was attacked by Bronson Reed before they got separated by officials.

This same show also saw Knight cost Reed a match against Cameron Grimes. Two weeks ago, Knight had done an in-ring promo and right after it had ended, Reed’s music hit and he came out for his match while Knight was still in the ring.

Knight made his promotional debut under this gimmick at last month’s TakeOver: Vengeance Day pre-show. He is a former Impact Wrestling World Champion.

Balor vs. Kross Will Headline NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver

0

The WWE NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver main event is now official.

WWE confirmed on Wednesday right before the NXT TV broadcast that Finn Balor will defend the NXT Title against Karrion Kross at this show. In the opening episode of the show, Balor and Kross exchanged words about the upcoming title match.

Balor talked about everyone who he has beaten and now it’s time for Kross to suffer the same fate. Kross came out to the ring where he stated this whole situation wasn’t going to happen until they settled their separate affairs and at TakeOver, the real champion will emerge in front of the world.

Balor stated everyone wants to be champion until the real champion walks in the room, but while Kross walks and talks like a champion, he doesn’t have what it takes to beat him. Kross disagrees and says Balor will find out what it’s like to be choked out while Balor told him that he will soon find out what it feels like to choke in the main event.

The next special for the NXT brand will be over the course of two nights with the first night being on April 7th on the USA Network while the second night will follow the next day on Peacock.

Tony Khan Talks The Growth Of AEW’s Women’s Division

0

Tonight on Dynamite, Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker will face off in a Lights Out match to headline the show. AEW’s women’s division experienced some growing pains since the onset of the promotion but seems to have really hit a new stride as of late. Tony Khan recently spoke to the Sporting News about the growth of the division.

“I think we’ve seen great development of the women’s roster since AEW launched,” Khan said during the interview. “Wrestling fans voted Dr. Britt Baker the most improved wrestler in the world last year for 2020, in the Wrestling Observer awards, and she’s been a great leader in the women’s division. She’s been a great leader in the women’s division and we’ve added great talent internally.”

Khan then listed a few names that AEW has been able to acquire that have helped the division grow.

“I think Red Velvet’s come in and done a really good job for us, and Serena Deeb has come in and not only been great for us, but then as a full-time AEW contract wrestler, went out and won the NWA women’s title. Serena, Red Velvet and Leyla Hirsch are great examples of people who weren’t here at the beginning, who I think have upgraded our talent, and stepped in and become really great additions.”

Tony Khan Praises Tay Conti & Others

Tay Conti was also specifically mentioned by Khan during the interview.

“Tay Conti is somebody who I’ve always thought had tremendous potential — she has vastly improved and I think she could be a front-runner this year, potentially, to break out and be one of the most improved wrestlers in the world. I think she had all the tools and all the personal charisma that it takes to be a great wrestler. She always had everything it took, and now with more experience, more reps and great coaching, we’re seeing that.”

AEW signed several big-name male stars right out of the gate. Marquee female wrestlers equivalent to Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, and Jon Moxley simply weren’t available in the free agency pool when AEW started. Since then, however, they’ve added to the roster through free agency and worked to grow stars in the division.

“The women’s division, we signed a lot of great wrestlers and we’ve seen some development but we’ve also had a lot of huge movement in free agency since then,” Khan continued.

“I think now for our women’s division, for us to have great new stars with buzz who have really added to the show in the past six months or a year, it really helped us a lot. I’m so excited for the main event this week of the Lights Out match with Dr. Britt Baker versus Thunder Rosa, which is one of my favorite stories we’ve ever told on all of AEW, really.”

25,000 Fans Expected At WrestleMania Each Night

0

WWE announced today that WrestleMania tickets will go on-sale this Friday. It is expected that the company will attempt to sell 25,000 tickets for each night of the 2-night event.

“Capacity for next month’s WrestleMania at Raymond James will be approximately 25,000 fans for each of two nights of the event. That’s 36 percent of full capacity for what the event would hold at Raymond James in a normal year,” Tweeted Tampa Bay Times reporter Eduardo A Encina.

Florida-based wrestling reporter Jon Alba has also been providing updates. Previously, it had been rumoured that WWE wanted as many as 45,000 fans each night.

“I can confirm #WrestleMania will be limited capacity with approximately 25,000 people each night. Seating pods with social distancing. Masks required at all times, and there will be free masks upon entry with temperature checks and health screenings,” Alba Tweeted.

“Tickets had been set to go on-sale Tuesday, but the sale was delayed suddenly without much warning. As I said, just because #WWE had been aiming for 45,000 fans, that did not mean it was going to get it,” Alba continued.

WrestleMania will take place April 10th and 11th, 2021. WWE plans to revert back to a one-night event in 2022. Drew McIntyre vs Bobby Lashley, Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair, Edge vs Roman Reigns, and New Day vs Styles & Omos has been booked.

Later this month, MLW will present 2021’s “Never Say Never.” An MLW World Championship match has been booked for the show. Jacob Fatu of Contra Unit will defend against Calvin Tankman. The members of Injustice and Tankman appear to be building an alliance as of late as well.

Cesaro Praises Daniel Bryan: “He Makes Everybody Better”

0

Daniel Bryan and Cesaro have a long history together. Their first official match against each other took place in 2005 at IWA’s Ted Petty invitational. Bryan beat Cesaro to advance in the tournament that night. Fast forward 16 years and now both of them are on Smackdown. Cesaro recently took part in an interview with Talk Sport and spoke about Bryan’s influence in WWE.

“Daniel Bryan is incredible to have around the locker room. I think I speak for everyone when I say he’s one of those guys that you want to have around,” Cesaro said during the interview.

“He’s so smart and so good that he makes everybody better because they have to step up their game. And that’s what I would like to be. He’s been around – I mean, I’ve known him forever, almost 15 years – his ability to create momentum is second to none.”

Cesaro continued to talk about Daniel Bryan’s current program with Roman Reigns. Bryan and Reigns will face each other at Fastlane on Sunday.

“We were heading into WrestleMania and people were like ‘oh, he’s losing, he’s losing momentum’ – no he didn’t. He just turns it around like that [clicks his fingers]. He switches momentum and now he’s facing Roman Reigns – as he should – at Fastlane.”

Cesaro also spoke about the confidence Bryan has in working with him.

“So it’s great to have him around and to me, having the support of somebody like Daniel Bryan, you don’t just get it overnight,” Cesaro continued. “You have to prove yourself night after night after night. So it may take a while to get there with Bryan, but it’s well worth it.”

The event was announced last night on Impact’s weekly show on AXS TV and Twitch. Scott D’Amore told Dreamer he can book the whole card for April 10th. Dreamer then handed D’Amore a piece of paper with the entire match card already written out. Fans weren’t able to see what matches Dreamer has planned, but D’Amore was very impressed with what he saw.

While Dreamer is booking the card in storyline, he’s also a key member of Impact’s current creative team. In a report from the Wrestling Observer last month, it was revealed that Jimmy Jacobs heads up the creative team (reporting to D’Amore) with Tommy Dreamer and Robert Evans contributing.
