— As announced this afternoon, World Wrestling Entertainment came to terms on the release of SmackDown performer Eric Escobar. WWE is apparently not through culling talent as Wrestling Observer editor is reporting that more releases are expected to be made over the next few days and/or weeks.

WWE has parted ways with seven performers so far this year including — besides Escobar — Dino Carter, DJ Gabriel, Lennox McEnroe, Leroy Morgan, Lift Sawyer and Sweet Papi Sanchez.

WWE sound engineer Marc Lanciaux has deleted his Twitter account after it garnered attention regarding a story he relayed about ECW performer Tyler Reks asking to be removed from a flight leaving Green Bay last Wednesday.
