WWE officials have begun giving thought to the idea of ending the guest hosting storyline on Monday Night Raw with the idea being to use a big name as the full-time General Manager of the brand.

WWE Superstars on New Year’s Eve actually drew a higher rating than TNA’s four-hour Knockout special, scoring a 0.70 to their 0.69. iMPACT! drew 1.00 million overall viewers while WWE‘s offering drew 761,000 viewers. The reason WWE did a higher rating with less viewers is because WGN America is in significantly fewer homes than Spike.

— Tuesday’s episode of ECW drew a 0.9 cable rating. The show was watched by 1.2 million viewers overall.
