First-Ever Women’s Royal Rumble Match Announced

RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon announced on Monday night that the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble match will take place at next month’s Rumble pay-per-view event.

No word yet on who the participants will be, but expect to see qualifying matches on RAW and SmackDown in the weeks ahead. The match will likely feature female Superstars from RAW and SmackDown. The Women’s Royal Rumble match also explains why WWE recently called up 5 women from NXT to the RAW and SmackDown rosters.
