9 Takeaways From WWE RAW (9/17)

The September 17th episode of WWE RAW aired live from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. It was the first episode of RAW following WWE Hell in a Cell 2018. Here are 9 takeaways from this week’s show:

8Drew McIntyre Defeated Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose battled Drew McIntyre tonight on RAW. McIntyre started off the match in control and hit Ambrose with a few chops in the corner of the ring. Ambrose connected with a Dropkick to Drew’s knees then slammed his knee into the ring post a couple of times. McIntyre connected with a forearm to Dean’s face and then launched him into the barricade surrounding the ring as RAW went to a commercial break.

When RAW returned, Ambrose connected with a shoulder tackle and then went back to attacking Drew’s knee. McIntyre hit Ambrose with a headbutt and then perched him on the top turnbuckle. McIntyre got hung up in the Tree of Woe but broke free and launched Dean across the ring.

Ambrose countered a Back Body Drop into a roll-up for a near fall. Ambrose locked in a Cloverleaf in the middle of the ring but Drew was able to battle through the pain and grabbed the bottom rope to break the hold. Ambrose booted McIntyre out of the ring and hit him with a Suicide Dive.

Dean leaped off the top rope but McIntyre got out of the way and Ambrose crashed into the barricade. McIntyre got into the ring and the referee started counting. Ambrose got back into the ring at 9 but McIntyre greeted Dean with the Claymore Kick for the pinfall victory.
