Shortly before the event, the WWE creative team reportedly had it narrowed down to two possible winners of the new Women’s Championship Title at WrestleMania 32. PWInsider.com reports that there was a lot of back and forth over whether they would book Sasha Banks or Charlotte to win. As we saw on Sunday, Charlotte won with the help of her father Ric Flair. The decision for Charlotte to win was reportedly made just days prior to the event.
PWInsider also noted that WWE was originally going to unveil the new Women’s Championship Belt on RAW, but decided to make it a WrestleMania moment instead.
