Adam Copeland‘s in-ring debut for Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling was successful, as he scored a major win.

The Rated-R Superstar squared off against Steve Maclin in the main event of MLP Northern Rising. The event took place at Maple Leaf Gardens in his hometown of Toronto, Canada. Both competitors delivered a highly enthralling bout, with Cope having the hometown advantage.

Still, Steve Maclin delivered an excellent showing against the former 11-time WWE World Champion. Moreover, towards the end of the bout, Maclin’s wife and ROH star, Deonna Purrazzo, interfered and sprayed something in Cope and the referee’s eyes in an attempt to help her husband win.

Despite that, Cope managed to regain his composure. In the final moments, the Ultimate Opportunist delivered a running spear to Maclin through the ring ropes. He ran straight from the entrance ramp to Maclin, who was standing in the ring.

Adam Copeland then followed it up with another thunderous spear and pinned Maclin for the three-count. This marked a huge victory for the AEW star outside the promotion and a successful debut for Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling.

Elsewhere, he and Christian Cage recently dropped the AEW World Tag Team Championships to the Young Bucks at All Out 2026. With Cope regaining major momentum with this victory, it will be interesting to see what challenge he faces next.
