Roman Reigns’ run as World Heavyweight Champion is not expected to end any time soon, with sources telling TRNBCKL that WWE is happy with how The Bloodline storyline has developed since WrestleMania 42.
The Bloodline originally formed in July 2021 when Reigns united with The Usos under Paul Heyman’s management, building one of the most celebrated faction runs in WWE history. Reigns held the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship for nearly two years before losing it to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL in April 2024.
The faction fractured during that period — Sami Zayn and Jey Uso departed, Solo Sikoa assumed leadership, and The Rock briefly joined before WrestleMania XL — before Reigns returned in August 2024 as a babyface. The original group reunited at Survivor Series before the faction formerly known as The Bloodline rebranded into The MFTs under Sikoa’s leadership on SmackDown.
Reigns now operates separately, holding the World Heavyweight Championship on Raw following his WrestleMania 42 win over CM Punk. Jacob Fatu’s addition to Reigns’ current Bloodline faction on Raw has been credited internally with injecting new energy into the storyline. TRNBCKL also notes that WWE’s long-standing interest in Zilla Fatu — Umaga’s son, who visited the WWE Performance Center earlier this month — remains in place and is worth monitoring going forward.
No word was given on a potential challenger or timeline for when Reigns’ reign might conclude.
