The picture around Bayley’s WWE status is getting clearer, with a fresh report indicating her return is closer than fans might think.

PWInsider reported that there have been creative pitches for Bayley on the Raw brand, with her expected back on WWE programming within the next few weeks.

It lines up with earlier reporting from Dave Meltzer, who noted in the August 24 Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the frequency of Raw mentioning Bayley by name was a strong signal the company still planned on bringing her back, reasoning that WWE typically wouldn’t keep referencing a wrestler it expected to lose.

Bayley’s last televised appearance came on the July 18 episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event, where she lost to Lyra Valkyria and was subsequently written off television via a post-match attack. She has continued working occasionally outside of TV, including a July 26 house show appearance in Bakersfield, California.

A two-time WWE Women’s Champion, two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion, one-time NXT Women’s Champion, and two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, Bayley also has a Women’s Money in the Bank win and a Women’s Royal Rumble victory on her résumé. With creative reportedly already planning her comeback, it looks like just a matter of weeks before she’s back in the mix.
