Bayley made her shocking return on RAW this week, with a new report giving an update on her current WWE status.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, The Role Model has signed a new deal with the Stamford-based promotion. When Bryan Alvarez mentioned Bayley’s return, he said:
Yep. Sign your new deal,” said Meltzer. “You know, when Bayley showed up, they went crazy coz, you know, it was something something big and new.
The five-time WWE Women’s Champion had not been seen since taking a huge defeat at the hands of Lyra Valkyria at Saturday Night’s Main Event in July. Amid her absence, rumors suggested that she might depart WWE and join rival promotion AEW.
In fact, Bayley and her real-life best friend and AEW star, Mercedes Moné, teased it on numerous occasions. However, reports leading up to RAW this week stated that Bayley will return to WWE. It turned out to be true as the Role Model shockingly appeared and cost Lyra Valkyria a chance to qualify for the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
Bayley’s return has seemingly cemented the fact that a new deal is in place for her with WWE. So, it will be interesting to see what is next for her after choosing to stay back in the TKO-led company.
