Big E reflected on the daily conversations he shared with the late Brody Lee, describing their group chat with producer Emilio Sparks as an informal therapy outlet. The WWE superstar, real name Ettore Ewen, shared the memory on Peter Rosenberg’s Validate Me show on YouTube.
A Decade Of Daily Talks
Big E said the group ran nonstop for years and covered everything.
“For a good decade, Emilio and I used to talk every day about everything. And then God rest his soul, but Brody also joined the group and we were lighting this thing up every single day. We’re talking about wrestling, the locker room, women, dating,” he said.
He credited Emilio in particular with helping him through much of his life.
“Emilio was my like, we were like, he’s my therapist, damn near for so much of my life,” Big E said.
The Advice That Came True
Big E recalled reassuring a friend who worried that the road life would keep him from meeting the right person.
“I told him, dude, when it slows down for you and you’re done, your person is just going to pop into your life and it’s going to change your world forever. And when you know that this person is your person, the whole world is just going to become quiet,” he said.
Big E said that advice ended up ringing true, mirroring the path his own life took before he found his fiancee.
