Chelsea Green has been forced out of her scheduled AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship defense after suffering a foot injury on SmackDown.
Green was set to defend the titles alongside Ethan Page against Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana on Friday’s AAA on Fox broadcast, but an injury sustained during the February 6th episode of SmackDown derailed those plans. La Hiedra stepped in as Green’s replacement for the championship match.
In the bout that aired on February 7th, Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana defeated Ethan Page and La Hiedra to capture the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships, ending Green and Page’s reign.
Green took to social media following the title loss, posting a photo of her foot in a walking boot while expressing her frustration with AAA’s decision to allow the match to proceed without her.

“The AUDACITY of [Lucha Libre AAA] to throw [Ethan Page] into a match like that after I almost ended my career on Smackdown last night from a near fatal fall,” Green wrote. “Ethan, we need to talk!!!”
The severity of Green’s injury and her expected timeline for return remain unclear at this time. The newly-crowned champions Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana now begin their reign as AAA Mixed Tag Team titleholders.
