Chelsea Green has shared her first reaction since wrapping work on the horror-thriller Red Wedding, calling the experience one that helped her grow as a new actress. The WWE SmackDown star posted her reflections on X after director Josh Stolberg announced the project.
“This project was incredible. I learned so much, I grew as a new actress and I feel blessed to have been chosen to work alongside Josh, Lauren, Rory and so many other talented humans!!” Green wrote, according to Chelsea Green via X (@ImChelseaGreen).
The former WWE Women’s United States Champion joined the cast of Stolberg’s Red Wedding alongside Rory Culkin, known for Scream 4, and Lauren LaVera of the Terrifier franchise.
Green first revealed the role in a conversation with Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s Candace Cordelia ahead of WrestleMania 42, teasing the project before filming began.
“I’m gonna tell what I’m most excited for. I would do anything with anybody. I feel the same way about acting as I do about wrestling. Like, I just wanna get out there and do it and build a resume. I just got a role in a horror film…spoiler…spoiler…I film in a couple of weeks. It’s gory as hell and I can’t wait,” Green said at the time.
The film fits a broader pattern of Green pursuing acting work alongside her wrestling career. She previously shared a first look at her role in ‘Blue Ridge’ as she continues to build her on-screen resume.
In the ring, Green was most recently seen on WWE RAW in Paris, France, where she competed in a first-round Queen of the Ring match. During the closing moments, Green hit Becky Lynch with the Unprettier, but Liv Morgan capitalized and rolled Green up for the victory.
