CJ Gallows is getting his first singles spotlight in MLW. MLW announced that the son of Doc Gallows will make his singles debut on MLW Fusion this Thursday, October 15, at 8 PM ET, streaming free on Tubi. No opponent has been named.
It will not be his first appearance on MLW television. CJ was part of the Fusion battle royal won by Jumbo on August 15, then came out to celebrate with his father after the Good Brothers beat the Skyscrapers for the MLW World Tag Team Titles. Thursday is his first one-on-one test under the MLW banner.
The road here has been quick. CJ made his in-ring debut on February 6 at an SECW Pro Wrestling show in Temple, Georgia, teaming with his father against Brad Lynch and a mystery partner. Doc told Undisputed beforehand there was “no bigger moment for me than teaming up with my son.” CJ was a four-sport high school athlete and was studying business in college when he started wrestling.
MLW was the next step. On Jeremy Lambert’s In The Weeds charity stream in July, Doc said his son would be “joining MLW here very soon.” He later told us in an exclusive interview that CJ is “getting good quickly” and has strong chemistry with Avery Styles, the son of AJ Styles. The two have teamed against the Good Brothers as Sons of the Club. When fans started calling them Bullet Club 2.0, AJ Styles pushed back on The Phenomenally Retro Podcast with a blunt “Calm down.”
The timing is loaded. Glasgow Boys On Top, made up of Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey and Wolfgang, said at the June Fusion tapings that they were coming for the Good Brothers, and that feud remains unresolved. Joe Coffey has spoken about his motivation in MLW, and MLW’s own preview frames CJ’s debut against that backdrop. The Gallows name opens the door, and what he does in the ring decides whether he stays.
