CM Punk is running out of room, and he keeps finding more.
The Undisputed WWE Champion was in Boston on Friday signing posters and posted a selfie video to his Instagram Story while he worked through the stack. The video caught something new on the side of his neck: a red tattoo that looks like a crown.
He has not said what it means. Punk’s ink usually carries a specific reference, from the straight edge lettering on his stomach to the Pepsi logo on his shoulder to the four aces for Ace Steel, so the absence of an explanation is itself part of the fun.
It is his second new piece in a fortnight. Around SummerSlam, he debuted a chest tattoo honouring his dog Larry, who died in November 2024, alongside another of his pets.
The obvious guess is that a crown suits a man who calls himself the Best in the World and is currently carrying the top title in the company, though that is a guess and nothing more.
Punk was in Boston as part of a signing run tied to WWE’s CM Punk 20 Years tour, which has him advertised for 22 events through the end of October. That routing includes Worlds Collide in Chicago on September 26, the same night AEW runs All Out just outside the city.
