CM Punk capped off his first NXT live event appearance with a photo with the roster inside the ring.
The Best in the World was scheduled to compete at the recent WWE NXT live event in Petersburg, VA. He was part of a six-man tag team bout, teaming up with Tavion Heights and Myles Borne against Jackson Drake, Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes, which Punk’s team won.
Following the match, Punk, his teammates and a number of other NXT stars came to the ring to pose with The Best in the World. You can see the photo uploaded by Mason Rook on X:
Elsewhere, CM Punk successfully retained the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2026, following Randy Orton’s interference. He is next set to defend his title against Kevin Owens on the August 21 episode of SmackDown.
The Prize Fighter also returned at SummerSlam after being on the shelf for more than a year due to neck injury. He won a Fatal 4-Way match at the event and earned himself a World title opportunity. Moreover, Owens chose to cash in his title shot at the aforementioned episode of the blue brand, taking place in his home country of Canada.
With tensions rising between Punk and Owen, given their heated past, it will be interesting to see who walks out as the Undisputed WWE Champion.
