WWE’s Summer Tour stop in Calgary on Sunday produced a few things worth seeing.
CM Punk came out for the main event in IYO SKY’s robe, complete with her pose. Punk has been doing this all tour, having previously taken Charlotte Flair’s robe and kissed Danhausen at other shows.
He teamed with Cody Rhodes against Gunther and Ricky Saints. During the match, Saints stopped to do the Stardust taunt at Rhodes, a nod to the character Rhodes played in WWE between 2014 and 2016. Rhodes and Punk won.
Earlier on the card, Kevin Owens beat Dominik Mysterio in a match that took some getting through. Referee Daphanie LaShaunn tried to eject Raquel Rodriguez from ringside, and while she was occupied, Liv Morgan got in and hit Owens with a Codebreaker before Dominik added a 619. Owens still won.
The rest of the show at the Scotiabank Saddledome included Chad Gable retaining the Intercontinental Championship against Ethan Page, Baron Corbin retaining the United States Championship in a three-way with Finn Balor and Trick Williams, Rey Fenix retaining the AAA Cruiserweight Championship against Kit Wilson, and LA Knight and Oba Femi beating The Vision by disqualification in a World Tag Team Championship match.
Danhausen also beat The Miz.
WWE’s Canadian run continues with Raw from Ottawa tonight, which starts at 6 p.m. ET because SmackDown is being taped straight afterwards.
