Cody Rhodes finally admits his regret.
The American Nightmare debuted the skull-shaped neck tattoo in the colors of the US flag back in February 2020 during the Revolution PPV. The immediate reactions to the decision were not positive and people’s opinions have not changed much over the years.
During the latest episode of his What Do You Wanna Talk About podcast, the WWE QB1 opened up about the public disapproval of his tattoo, which includes comments from Brandi Rhodes. Cody Rhodes said that while the design of the tattoo is great, he does consider it the greatest regret of his life:
I stand by the fact that I think the work is great, and the artist is great. But I also will reveal, the neck tattoo I would widely consider the greatest regret of my life. You know what? I’ll live with it. I ain’t trying to get it removed, and we’re gonna rock this till the very end.

Cody Rhodes said that his life changed when he saw how the tattoo turned out for the first time. The American Nightmare also admitted that his dad Dusty Rhodes would have never approved of the artwork:
When I saw it, and it was in my jaw, and it was so big, my life changed looking in a mirror. If my dad was to come back to life, he would not say congrats. He would lose his shit. ‘You’ve ruined yourself,’ I’d say it’s the greatest regret of my life.
