NXT star Cora Jade is keeping a positive attitude despite encountering a significant setback in her wrestling career.
Jade, 23, is one of the top rising stars in WWE\'s developmental brand. Already a former NXT Women\'s tag team champion (with Roxanne Perez, 22), her hopes for a bright 2024 came crashing down when she sustained a knee injury this past weekend at a non-televised NXT event from Dade City, FL.
Later in the evening, Jade posted a meme stating, \"I laugh to keep from crying,\" which many fans perceived as cause for concern regarding her medical outlook.
During Tuesday\'s NXT broadcast on the USA Network, WWE provided an update on her condition. Upon a medical evaluation, it was determined that Cora Jade had sustained an ACL tear that will keep her out of action for up to one year.
