A current champion injured Chelsea Green on SmackDown, and she outright said that she has no guilt for her actions.

The star mentioned is one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Lainey Reid. On the SmackDown after SummerSlam, she and Fallon Henley squared off against Chelsea Green and Tiffany Stratton. During the match, Green suffered a broken orbital bone.

In a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, Reid said that their actions led to Green having the best segment of her life on SmackDown last week when she refused to surrender the WWE Women’s title due to injury. When Bully Ray asked if there was any remorse for what Fatal Influence did, Reid said:

The remorse is that she still has a chance to compete with the title. The remorse is that I didn’t finish the job.

Chelsea Green fulfilled a lifelong dream when she won her first-ever WWE Women’s title at SummerSlam 2026. After she suffered the aforementioned injury on SmackDown, it was rumored that she might have to vacate the championship.

Nick Aldis initially took the belt from Green on SmackDown last week. However, as she was leaving, Aldis changed his mind after hearing her passionate address to the crowd, told Green she had thirty days to recover, and handed the belt back to her.

With Green having the time ticking on her, it remains to be seen if she can get cleared on time to remain the WWE Women’s Champion.
