Diana Hart Smith has issued an urgent plea to the wrestling community after a thief broke into a trailer belonging to her son Davey Boy Smith Jr. and made off with a number of irreplaceable items — including the British Bulldog's WWE Hall of Fame ring.
In an Instagram post, Diana Hart Smith revealed the incident occurred early in the morning and that the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have been called, confirming the theft took place in Canada. She urged fans to contact any Hart family member if they have information that could help recover the stolen items.
"Please help us find Harry's things that were stolen from him. This is horrible for him!" Diana wrote. "Please contact any Hart family member if you have any information helping find his most personal valuables."
What Was Stolen
According to Diana's post, the following items were taken from the trailer:
- "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith Jr.'s wrestling gear and travel bag
- Hart Foundation leather vest
- British Bulldog WWE Hall of Fame ring
- Gold chain and jewelry
- CWE (Canadian Wrestling's Elite) Tag Team Championship Belt
Why These Items Are Irreplaceable
The WWE Hall of Fame ring is among the most significant items stolen. The original British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith — Harry's father — was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame posthumously in 2020, nearly two decades after his passing in 2002. The ring represents not just an honor bestowed upon one of wrestling's most beloved figures, but a deeply personal family heirloom passed down to his son.
The Hart Foundation leather vest carries similar historical weight. The Hart Foundation — one of wrestling's most iconic stables — is a cornerstone of the Hart family legacy that Diana Hart Smith has spent decades protecting. Davey Boy Smith Jr. has continued that legacy in the ring, most recently competing in Major League Wrestling and All Japan Pro Wrestling.
The post was notably liked by the official @thebritishbulldogwwe Instagram account, which is run by Georgia Smith, Harry's sister, underscoring the family's deep concern over the theft.
Anyone with information on the stolen items is urged to reach out to a member of the Hart family directly.
