Demolition Confirmed for WWE Hall of Fame

The Undertaker officially announced Monday morning that Demolition — Ax (Bill Eadie) and Smash (Barry Darsow) — will be inducted into the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame, ending what many considered one of the longest overdue omissions in Hall of Fame history.

A Long Time Coming

The path to the Hall of Fame was far from smooth for the duo. For years, Demolition's relationship with WWE was strained due to their involvement in a CTE lawsuit against the company, which was ultimately dismissed.

The tide began turning in February 2025 when Ax and Smash signed a new WWE Legends deal, and reports soon surfaced that the current WWE regime had been actively discussing their Hall of Fame induction.

Their Legacy

Demolition is one of the most accomplished tag teams in WWE history, holding the WWF Tag Team Championships three times with a combined reign of 698 days.

Their first championship reign lasted an incredible 478 days — a record that stood for over 30 years until The New Day surpassed it in 2016. Their rivalries with The Hart Foundation, The Brain Busters, and The Powers of Pain helped define the golden era of tag team wrestling in the late 1980s.

SEScoops extends a big congratulations to Demolition for this long-overdue honor.
