At WWE NXT Battleground, the brand introduced the NXT Women\'s North American Championship, the first-ever Women\'s mid-card title in company history. Many individuals, both in and out of WWE, believe that such a title should be introduced to the main roster and Drew McIntyre has now thrown his support behind the idea.
Speaking to FOX News ahead of his Hell in a Cell showdown with CM Punk at Bad Blood, McIntyre was confident that a mid-card Women\'s title would be a reality soon enough.
\"That’s certainly something that’s going to come around in the near future... The women have been killing it for years now.\
McIntyre made clear that a Women\'s mid-card title wouldn\'t be introduced for the sake of it, but that the roster has shown why such a title needs to exist.
\"There’s so many characters the women’s division has gotten over now. We’re at a point where if there’s a second title introduced, it’s absolutely justified.\
The Call For A Women’s Mid-Card Title
