Drew McIntyre’s WWE return could happen on Raw.
Fightful Select, citing WrestleVotes, reports that ideas are being discussed that would bring McIntyre back on the Raw brand. The feeling is that Raw could use a star of McIntyre’s caliber more than SmackDown.
WWE also had creative in place for McIntyre to return in late August before a change in direction, according to the report.
McIntyre told Fightful that he has filmed three movies since stepping away from the road. His projects include the Highlander reboot and The Last Druid.
McIntyre’s last match was an unsanctioned bout against Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania 42 in April. In late September, he shared video of himself training in the ring at Rusev’s Kech Pro Wrestling Academy in Nashville.
