Eric André Attacked By Jacob Fatu During WWE Raw Segment

ByMike ReichlinProfessional Wrestling Journalist

Eric André found himself on the wrong end of a Jacob Fatu beatdown during The Bloodline’s opening segment on the June 15 episode of WWE Raw from the CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore.

The comedian and actor, who was seated front row promoting his upcoming John Cena film “Little Brother,” dapped up Roman Reigns and the rest of The Bloodline as they made their way to the ring. When André reached for Fatu’s ula fala in an attempt to have some fun, the Samoan Werewolf turned on him.

Fatu pulled André over the barricade, rolled him into the ring, and delivered a series of headbutts as producers and referees flooded the ring to break things up. Fatu headed to the top rope anyway.

Reigns appeared ready to call off the assault, then instead instructed Fatu to hit a Samoan Splash. Fatu connected, and at Reigns’ direction, delivered a second one while the world heavyweight champion grinned at ringside.

“You don’t want to do this,” Reigns said into the camera, sending a message to the rest of the locker room as the Baltimore crowd cheered the segment.

The angle continued the storyline tension within the faction, with cameras catching a look of unease from “Main Event” Jey Uso as Fatu stood tall. The segment played into the ongoing thread of Fatu as a barely controlled force inside the rejuvenated Bloodline.
