Finn Balor has moved on.
WWE recently revealed the full brackets for the announced King of the Ring tournament featuring stars from both Raw and SmackDown rosters. One interesting detail on the graphic showed the former Universal Champion being represented by the blue color instead of red, giving rise to speculation that the wrestling veteran had switched brands.
The move was then confirmed during the latest episode of the Monday Night show. While interviewing the Judgment Day during a commercial break, Byron Saxton noted that Finn Balor had officially been traded to SmackDown:
The King of the Ring tournament kicked off at tonight’s Raw, with Oba Femi picking up a dominant victory over Penta, Solo Sikoa, and Carmelo Hayes to advance to the semi-finals of the tournament. Balor will get his own chance for the same when he faces LA Knight, Jey Uso, and Royce Keys in a first-round match.
There is no word on whether Raw will be getting a replacement for Finn. Though with Jacob Fatu acknowledging Roman Reigns on the Red Branded Show this week, it’s possible that the Samoan Werewolf is now considered a Raw star in place of Balor.
