Kevin Owens is all about Finn Balor getting a second go-around with a world championship and both men will have their shot this Saturday.
Speaking with Sports Illustrated, Kevin Owens backed his fellow heel Balor in hopes that he'd win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against GUNTHER in Saturday Night's Main Event. 'The Ring General' and 'The Demon' are in a triple threat with Damian Priest, but Owens is an advocate for Balor and gives good reason.
If you're asking me what my perfect scenario would be for Saturday night. I wanna see Finn Balor win the World Heavyweight Championship. I wanna win the WWE title." Owens said. "Just on a personal level for both of us, we've been friends since the moment we got to WWE together at the same time. [We've gotten] very close. I really do consider him like a brother. I would just love to share that with him.
Balor ended up becoming the inaugural WWE Universal Champion when he defeated Seth Rollins at SummerSlam back in 2016. However, Balor injured his shoulder and was ultimately stripped of the title.
As for Owens, he'll be challenging Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed Championship on Saturday Night's Main Event, but did previously share a major regret he had during his own first world championship run in WWE.
