Adriana Rizzo has clarified that she isn’t walking away from wrestling after WWE let her go. The former NXT star says she plans to start looking at other options as soon as a short waiting period ends.
Speaking with Pario Magazine, Rizzo was asked whether she still plans to continue wrestling after her WWE release. She said she is still within her 30 days and hasn’t started looking yet. Once that period is over, she’ll really begin exploring what’s out there. For now she’s just waiting for the 30 days to pass.
I think, um, right now I’m still within my 30 days, so I haven’t. Once I get past the 30 days, I’ll really kind of start looking into options and see what’s out there. So that’s, I’m just kind of waiting until those 30 days are up right now. Yeah.
So this isn’t a retirement announcement. Rizzo is simply waiting until she’s free to see who is interested and what opportunities exist.
Her release followed a run of bad luck in NXT. A couple of knee injuries hurt her momentum. The timing got worse when Tony D’Angelo changed his gimmick, and Rizzo was left in limbo.
