How Long Is Cody Rhodes’ New WWE Deal?

Cody Rhodes is locked in with WWE for the long haul.

The New York Times reported that Rhodes recently signed a five-year contract extension with WWE. The detail appeared in a feature on Rhodes and Roman Reigns, who play Guile and Akuma in the Street Fighter movie that opens Friday.

Rhodes recently signed a five-year contract extension with W.W.E.

Rhodes first revealed he had re-signed during an Oct. 7 appearance on the Flagrant podcast, but he did not say how long the deal runs. He brought it up while explaining how his view of retirement has changed. He pointed to Bobby Roode moving into a producer role and Michael Hayes’ long run as a producer.

I think I used to have a number in mind for when wrestling retirement would come,” Rhodes said. “They’ve stepped into different roles.

Rhodes then shared the news, saying, “I just re-signed with WWE,” and added that he plans to finish his in-ring career with the company.

I’ll end my wrestling career with WWE.

He said the new deal also gives him room to work on projects outside wrestling without leaving WWE behind.

We’re now able to go do this stuff. So, say I do have another project. Say I got two other projects, whatever it may be. I’m able to take a step away, and I’m able to collaborate with WWE, and I’m able to come back home.

Rhodes said in February that his next WWE contract would be his last.
