Huge Update on Bayley’s WWE Contract Status

ByNicholas WatsonProfessional Wrestling Journalist

WWE star Bayley might be on her way out of the company following a recent update about her contract. According to a new report by the Wrestling Observer, The Role Model’s contract is expected to expire in Q4 of 2026. Although they were not able to confirm an exact date

This could mean that the former WWE Women’s Champion will become a free agent around October 2026. Moreover, with the way things have turned out, there could be a possibility that Bayley might not re-sign with the Stamford-based wrestling promotion.

Bayley lost a singles match to her former WWE partner

Bayley and her longtime partner, Lyra Valkyria, had a major implosion a few weeks ago on RAW. After failing once again to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, Valkyria snapped and attacked the former Hugger, leaving her beaten in the middle of the ring.

Furthermore, this development also saw Valkyria have a much more menacing and aggressive side of her personality. This led to a singles clash between her and Bayley at the recent edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. It was an explosive encounter that concluded with bruised Valkyria choking out Bayley and sealing the victory.

With Bayley’s contract reportedly coming up in months, there is a possibility that WWE booked her to lose the bout on her way out to elevate the rising talent in Lyra Valkyria. On the other hand, if Bayley does leave WWE, it would be a major blow to their women’s division’s star power.

At the same time, Bayley herself has admitted that she has not been booked on the same level as her peers, like Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, and Charlotte Flair. Moreover, she has often been left out of marquee events and promotions despite being an accomplished competitor. So, it will be interesting to see if The Role Model chooses to stay or leave WWE upon her contract expiry.
