“It shouldn’t surprise any of us”- Former WWE star defends Roman Reigns’ UFC Freedom 250 Appearance

ByNicholas WatsonProfessional Wrestling Journalist

WWE megastar Roman Reigns’ recent appearance at the prestigious UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House in Washington, D.C., sparked mixed reactions from the public. However, a former WWE superstar immediately came to the defense of The Tribal Chief.

He is none other than Ryback. The former WWE Intercontinental Champion took to his X to say that it did not surprise him that Reigns was in attendance for the aforementioned event, considering WWE and UFC were under the same parent company, TKO Group Holdings, and The OTC’s star power.

WWE and UFC are under the same company. If one of the biggest stars in WWE is invited to a major UFC event, it shouldn’t surprise any of us that he’d attend. Going to an event doesn’t suddenly define someone’s character or mean we know everything they believe.

Furthermore, Ryback even took a shot at people who judge and berate others and spread negativity for no reason. You can check out his full tweet below:

The bigger issue is how quickly we’ve become to judge and tear each other down over things that have nothing to do with how we treat people. There’s already enough negativity in the world without adding to it.

Roman Reigns officially welcomed a new member into the Bloodline

Roman Reigns had been embroiled in a heated feud with Jacob Fatu since the RAW after WrestleMania 42. This saw the two clash once at Backlash and then in a Tribal Combat at WWE Clash in Italy for the World Heavyweight Championship, both of which Reigns won.

After Jacob Fatu acknowledged Reigns as his Tribal Chief, he officially welcomed him into the Bloodline on the June 15 episode of Monday Night RAW by giving him a Ula-Fala. With the Bloodline looking stronger than ever, it seems that no one might be able to stop them.
