Jacy Jayne has addressed the frightening fall from the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, saying she’s doing fine after a spot that left the New Orleans crowd stunned.
During the match, Jayne and Lola Vice were fighting on top of a ladder. Vice had Jayne in a chokehold when the two fell backward and landed on a second ladder lying perpendicular, taking the impact on their backs before tumbling to the floor.
Officials rushed to check on them, and both returned to finish the match. Tiffany Stratton eventually won the match to claim her second Money in the Bank briefcase. Jayne and Vice were seen walking to the back with some help from officials.
The day after the show, Jayne appeared at Collect-a-Con and spoke to fans about the fall. She asked how many of them had watched the event, then admitted she had almost died from the bump but is okay now.
Collect-a-con. Hello, Chicago. Thank you for having me. I am very excited to be here. Do you all know who I am? I am gonna, you know who I am. If you don’t, if you’ve been living under a rock, my name is Jacy Jayne. I am the WWE women’s United States Champion.
The rockstar, the list goes on and on. I am so excited to be here. How many of you guys watched Money in the Bank last night? Did you guys see me almost die? I feel great today, in case you were wondering.
