Jake Hager was knocked out cold at Power Slap 21 on Friday night in Las Vegas, dropped in the third round by former TNA wrestler Amanpreet Singh, better known to wrestling fans as Mahabali Shera.
The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, who competed as Jack Swagger in WWE, actually started strong. Hager staggered Singh with a slap in the opening round, sending him to a knee.
The momentum flipped hard in the third, when Singh landed a massive strike that put Hager down and forced an immediate stoppage. Hager needed help getting back to his feet as Singh celebrated.

The loss is Hager’s first in Power Slap after a winning debut back in April during WrestleMania 42 weekend, when he knocked out Devin Jenkins. It marks the second bout of a six-appearance deal Hager signed with the Dana White-backed promotion earlier this year.
Friday’s card ran as part of UFC 329 weekend, headlined by the return of Conor McGregor, with Rhea Ripley in attendance for the festivities.
Singh spent most of his career in TNA, with his last match a loss to PCO at TNA Countdown to Emergence in 2024. He had a brief run in WWE developmental in 2018 and won the OVW title in 2022.
Hager’s Uneasy Exit From Wrestling
Hager left AEW in 2024 and, at the time, described himself as “largely retired” while voicing frustration with the wrestling business and taking aim at AEW president Tony Khan. He has since walked that back, wrestling for the WWC in Puerto Rico in June.
The video of the knockout has already made the rounds online, and Hager’s slap-fighting career now sits at 1-1 with four bouts left on his deal.
