Jey Uso Claps Back At Haters Over King Of The Ring

ByBishal RoyProfessional Wrestling Journalist

Jey Uso fired back at his critics on social media after his run to the King of the Ring finals drew heavy fan backlash, telling the haters they will only “stay broke” the more they pile on.

Uso addressed the noise directly on his Jey Uso Instagram Story, dismissing the criticism and promising to silence everyone by winning the tournament.

The reaction came after Uso defeated Je’Von Evans on the June 19 edition of SmackDown to advance to the King of the Ring final. WWE uploaded the match to YouTube, where fans made their feelings clear in the comments and the like-to-dislike ratio.

Rather than ignore the response, Uso leaned into it with a short, defiant message on his Instagram Story.

Yall really love me now? Watch when I beat Oba. The more u hate on me, The more broke u stay.

Fans React To Jey Uso Advancing Over Je’Von Evans

The WWE YouTube upload of the match did not get the warm reception the promotion may have hoped for. At the time of writing, the clip sat at 177K views with over 6K likes against more than 21K dislikes, a massive dislike ratio.

Much of the frustration centered on the booking decision itself. A large portion of fans felt Evans, the younger talent, needed the breakout win more than Uso did, and they were vocal about it.

One fan wrote, “build new talent? nah, push the 40 year old alcoholic who can’t even do a neckbreaker bump properly.”

Another kept it blunt: “Nobody wanted one of the worst wrestlers in the company to advance.” A third compared Uso’s main event run to Jinder Mahal’s WWE Championship reign.

This is not the first time Uso has used his Instagram Story to make a bold, self-assured statement. He recently declared himself “the best world entertainment wrestler in the world” on the same platform.

Jey Uso vs. Oba Femi In The King Of The Ring Final

Uso is now set to face Oba Femi in the King of the Ring final at Night of Champions on June 27 in Riyadh. The winner takes the crown and a world title shot at SummerSlam.

Uso clearly has no intention of backing down from the criticism. If anything, he sounds ready to use it as fuel, already talking like a man planning to beat Femi and make his doubters even louder.
