Jim Cornette: Roman Reigns ‘Is Boring And Has Questionable Values’

ByAndrew RavensProfessional Wrestling Journalist

Jim Cornette has unloaded on Roman Reigns over the WWE star’s appearance at the recent UFC event held at the White House.

Reigns was spotted on June 14 alongside Paul “Triple H” Levesque at UFC Freedom 250, which took place on the South Lawn of the White House, and he later shared a post about attending on social media. The appearance of the World Heavyweight Champion drew a reaction from fans, though Reigns has previously spoken about his support for President Donald Trump.

On the latest episode of his Drive-Thru podcast, released Friday, Cornette did not hold back. “He’ll go to Saudi Arabia. He’ll go to the White House. He’ll go wherever they’ll pay him. He’s just an attention whore,” the legendary former manager and promoter said.

Cornette went further, taking aim at Reigns’ character and choices. “He’s a big enough star he could have said no f—-ing way to the White House,” he said. “So, we now know he’s one of them and what he’s all about. Boring and questionable values.”

The conversation later shifted to Reigns as an in-ring performer, prompted by a recent Bloodline segment on Raw. Cornette criticized “The OTC” for taking “forever to the ring” and “forever to speak,” adding, “Then he starts speaking, and still nothing gets done.”

Cornette’s comments echoed a similar shot taken last week by Paul Walter Hauser, the Golden Globe-winning actor and professional wrestler, who also spoke out against Reigns’ appearance at the event. “Is this where you are when you’re never wrestling?” Hauser wrote on X. “Why do guys like Darby Allin and Kenny Omega wrestle every single week, and yet, they don’t ask us to ‘acknowledge them’? Could it be that the work begets the acknowledgement?”

Hauser closed his message with a pointed jab, writing, “Enjoy the field trip, you actual dork.”
