Speaking on the latest \"Grilling JR,\" Ross mentioned how he still texts with Punk, who is proactive in seeing how \'The Boomer Sooner\' has been doing. Ross said how thankful he was to have Punk in AEW, but a clash of identities came to be a factor.
\"I miss CM Punk. I thought he contributed greatly to the AEW roster when he was with us. To be perfectly candid, I wish he was still with us. It, personality wise, just did not work out and that\'s unfortunate.\

Ross and Punk have both been off television with their own respective ailments as Punk has been recovering from a torn triceps and Ross has been recovering from an unexpected visit to the emergency room. Ross was experiencing shortness of breath but did mention how he\'s been feeling better.
As for Punk, he\'s set to make his Windy City return tonight in Chicago on SmackDown after he screwed Drew McIntyre over at Clash At The Castle in Scotland last weekend. Drew and CM Punk have been battling verbally ever since Punk suffered his triceps injury in the final moments of the men\'s Royal Rumble match.
