The convention's official account announced the theft, revealing that HD camera footage from the venue will be reviewed by police beginning Monday, December 2nd. However, Hart is taking a gracious approach to the situation.
"Jimmy isn't looking to press charges — he just wants it back," WrestleCade stated, offering the culprit a chance to return the item via direct message before the investigation moves forward.
Hart's megaphone is one of professional wrestling's most recognizable props. "The Mouth of the South" has carried the signature accessory throughout his managerial career spanning over four decades, using it to amplify his ringside antics while guiding champions including Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, and countless others to championship gold.
The 81-year-old was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 and remains active on the convention circuit, meeting fans and celebrating his legendary career.
WrestleCade takes place annually in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and is one of the largest independent wrestling conventions in the United States.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact WrestleCade directly through their social media channels.
