John Laurinaitis Booked for Second Fan Event After AI Controversy

John Laurinaitis is returning to the convention circuit. The former WWE executive has been booked for WCPBTW Fan Appreciation Night this Friday, April 10, at Huntington High School in Chillicothe, Ohio, marking his second public appearance since a March meet-and-greet that drew widespread criticism on social media.

World Class Professional Big Time Wrestling announced the appearance on social media. Laurinaitis will be available for autographs and photo opportunities from 6 to 8 PM ahead of a wrestling show at 8 PM.

The promotion also teased a special announcement from Laurinaitis during the event. The appearance serves as a fundraiser for the Huntington High School Athletic Boosters.

The March appearance became a talking point online after Laurinaitis shared what appeared to be an AI-generated image on social media depicting a larger crowd than actually attended the event.

Fans quickly identified the image as artificially enhanced, prompting people to mock him across wrestling social media. The Ohio booking comes just weeks after that controversy.

Laurinaitis was terminated from WWE following allegations outlined in Janel Grant's lawsuit against WWE, Laurinaitis, and Vince McMahon, in which Grant accused all three parties. He had served as Senior Vice President of Talent Relations and General Manager of both Raw and SmackDown during his time with the company.

After his departure, he had maintained a low public profile until recently.
