"Just biting me in the a**"- Chelsea Green on Quitting Social Media Platform for Good

ByM WatsonProfessional Wrestling Journalist

Chelsea Green has quit a major social media platform for good and has good reason for the same.

During a recent appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Chelsea Green revealed that she quit the X platform to avoid being cyberbullied by netizens and to stop them from dictating her views or telling her what to do.

I will not allow the internet to cyber-bully me or any of my friends, and I was becoming this online vigilante, and it was just biting me in the a**. I’m not going to allow them to tell me what my beliefs are or who I vote for, even though I’m Canadian. We’ve laughed about that. I’m not going to allow them to tell me what race my friends are, to bully my family, to say things about my coworkers that are untrue or unfair or whatever. I can’t do it. I cannot do it.

Furthermore, Green said that she hated cyberbullying, which happened a lot on X, and it was too much for her to take.

I hate bullying and I really hate cyberbullying and the narrative that Twitter comes up with and the dog-piling. It’s too much. I love the fandom, but unfortunately, the fandoms-they also turn into bullying.

Chelsea Green is the reigning Interim WWE Women’s Champion, having won the title at SummerSlam 2026. However, she is currently dealing with a broken orbital bone that nearly ended her reign before it started.

Despite that, Green continues to wrestle on television wearing a face mask to protect her injury. As the Hot Mess continues to move forward as the top champion on SmackDown, it will be interesting to see what is next for her.
