WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash believes former Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns should lose his World Heavyweight title match at WrestleMania 42. Nash argued that CM Punk needs to retain his title because he can defend the title more frequently than 'OTC'.
Roman Reigns will compete in his eleventh WrestleMania main event later this month when he faces Punk in what is expected to headline Night Two. The match marks Reigns' first world title opportunity since losing the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40 in April 2024.
Kevin Nash Explains Why CM Punk Should Win
On a recent edition of his "Kliq This" podcast, Nash pointed to Reigns' well-documented part-time schedule as the primary factor.
I have to have [CM] Punk go over because Roman [Reigns] has stated too many times that he's a part-time wrestler, a full-time father and husband. They don't run 300 days a year, they still, man, they, when they run, they run.
Nash continued:
And it's on planes, and it's, you know, you're in Berlin one night and Copenhagen the next and Italy the next, and you got to have, you got to have that strap out there.
Reigns signed a deal with WWE in 2022 that allows him to work a reduced schedule. The agreement resulted in fewer appearances and significantly fewer matches compared to full-time roster members.
