Killer Kross Wins First World Title Since WWE Exit

Killer Kross is a world champion.

The star formerly known as Karrion Kross in WWE was part of the MLW Battle RIOT VIII event tonight, from Osceola Heritage Park’s Events Center in Kissimmee, FL. Mads Krule Krügger defended his World Title in a 40-man battle royal that main evented the show, and Kross entered the match at #1.

The final contestants of the bout apart from the winner were Austin Aries, Donovan Dijak, Bishop Dyer, and Matt Riddle. Killer Kross eliminated both Riddle and Hammerstone in the end to win the match, and his first world title since leaving WWE:

The 40-year-old was joined by his wife Scarlett Bordeaux in the ring for the post-match celebration. Kross went on to cut a promo, dedicating his win to his mother who had been at the ringside for the first time to watch him wrestle live.

Killer Kross and Scarlett left WWE in August last year, after being offered only 24 hours to sign a new contract. Kross has been active in the independent circuit since then, having shared the ring with the likes of Matt Cardona, Darby Allin and Jimmy Jacobs for various promotions.
