The case for LA Knight finally winning a world championship keeps growing, with another respected voice in the industry making the pitch.
On his own podcast, The AJ Styles Show, Styles didn’t hold back in his assessment of Knight’s readiness. He said he hasn’t seen anyone more prepared to be a world champion right now than Knight, pointing out that Knight already has all the tools needed for the role, both physically and in terms of how he represents the company in interviews and media appearances.
It’s happened before in Saudi, right? They did wrestle and LA Knight didn’t get the championship. I’ve never seen anybody more ready to be a champion right now than LA Knight. I know I keep harping on this but I can’t be the only one that thinks this way. He’s got all the tools. Give him the opportunity.
AJ Styles Is Confident With LA Knight
Styles argued Knight would handle the spotlight of being champion flawlessly and reiterated that WWE should simply give him the opportunity, referencing Knight’s previous near-miss at a Saudi Arabia event as another example of chances that haven’t quite materialized into gold.
He knows what comes with being a champion. He’s got it. I’m not just talking about holding the heavyweight championship around your waist. When it comes to interviews and what you’ve got to do to represent the WWE, he has those tools to be able to get it done. I think he’d do it flawlessly.
In 2023, Knight suffered a defeat against Roman Reigns in an Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match at Crown Jewel. They later faced each other in a four-way match at the Royal Rumble in 2024, where Reigns again emerged triumphant.
Knight has been involved in a feud with The Bloodline. ‘The Megastar’ has his sights set on Reigns and his World title. They also exchanged heated words during the August 3 episode of Monday Night Raw.
