WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event heads to the world’s most famous arena tonight, and the main event carries SummerSlam stakes.
The show emanates from Madison Square Garden in New York City, its first Saturday Night’s Main Event at the venue since 2007, streaming live at 8 p.m. ET on Peacock in the U.S. and Netflix internationally.
The headline tag match doubles as a SummerSlam setup. Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk teams with Cody Rhodes, his opponent for Night 1 of SummerSlam, to face Gunther and Sami Zayn. There’s a catch: if Gunther and Zayn win, they get added to the Punk vs. Rhodes title match at SummerSlam, turning a singles bout into a four-way.
