Liv Morgan Opens Up on Childhood Idol Ahead of WrestleMania 42

Former Women's World Champion Liv Morgan has recently credited WWE Hall of Famer Lita as her primary inspiration for becoming a professional wrestler. The current Women's World Title challenger opened up about her childhood fandom in a recent interview.

Speaking with 8 News Now, Morgan explained how she connected with Lita's persona as a young fan. She began watching wrestling at age five and immediately gravitated toward the former Women's Champion.

Growing Up With Four Brothers

Morgan described herself as a tomboy who roughhoused with her four older brothers. Lita's style resonated with her because the WWE Hall of Famer wrestled men, wore baggy pants, and wore sneakers.

I grew up watching wrestling since I was five years old, and I loved Lita. I grew up with four older brothers. So I was very much a tomboy. I would roughhouse with my brothers, wear baggy pants and sneakers, and Lita was a WWE superstar who would wrestle the boys, wear baggy pants, wear sneakers. So I saw her and I just very much related to her," Morgan said.
