Liv Morgan is the Women’s World Champion again.
Morgan pinned Stephanie Vaquer to win the title in a triple threat that also included Becky Lynch on Saturday at Money in the Bank in New Orleans. The win starts Morgan’s fourth reign with the championship.
The title has now traded hands between them three times this year. Morgan beat Vaquer for the title at WrestleMania 42 in April. Vaquer took it back on Sept. 12 at a live event in her native Chile, with Lynch as special guest referee. Vaquer’s second reign lasted less than a month.
All three women brawled at the bell. Vaquer hit a dive to the floor onto both challengers. She later appeared to land awkwardly on her knee after a breaker and was seen favoring her leg. She kept going.
Vaquer hit a front suplex that dropped Lynch onto Morgan, then a crossbody on Lynch for a near fall. Lynch answered with an exploder suplex and a double DDT that got two-counts on both opponents.
At one point, Morgan was caught in two holds at once. Vaquer had her in a half crab while Lynch locked in the Dis-arm-her. Lynch followed with a Manhandle Slam on Morgan for two.
Vaquer drove Morgan and Lynch into the steel steps with running knees. She then came off the top rope onto Morgan and had a near fall. Lynch pulled the referee out of the ring to stop the count.
Vaquer responded by superkicking Lynch off the apron onto a table. Morgan took advantage, hit ObLIVion on Vaquer and got the pin.
